Converge, Death Threat, Mind Eraser, Integrity, Ringworm, and Reach the Sky are the only bands on that list i would pay to see. And i probably wouldn't be willing to pay more than $12 to see any of them. Fests are terrible. Give me short sets and no more than 4-5 bands unless they're all awesome, in which case i could deal with 6 or 7 but would rather have 2 shows in 2 days with 3 or 4 bands each. Sitting through like 20 shitty bands playing 30+ minute sets to see a couple of decent to good bands play to a crowd of shitty hardcore kids and brodudes isn't my idea of fun, but hey, whatever floats your boat.

I mean, i'll put up with a few shitty bands to see a band i like, but i'm not trying to spend a bunch of money and a whole day doing so. There are a few bands i'd make exceptions for, but i'd probably try to get a general idea of when they were playing so i could show up a little bit before their expected set time and then leave when they were done.

As a general thought though, most bands really need to start playing shorter sets. I don't know what the fuck a lot of mediocre opening bands are thinking when they decide they should play a 25-30 minute or longer set, especially when the headlining band is probably only going to play for 15 or maybe 20. That also reminds me that i miss Formaldehye Junkies shows. Best 3-7 minute sets ever. I don't think i ever saw them play a set that was out of the single digits.

COA is great live, whether its watching them go nuts on stage or watching them go nuts for other bands. from him pulling the Ace Ventura type shit on stage, to smashin peolpe with palm tree branches, to him going nuts with a chain wrapped around his neck.

chupa, you think to much about these fests and shit man haha, i can agree i dont give a shit to see most of those bands, but the ones i do wanna see is enough for me to go. i can agree with hating most of the people in attendence as well, but i know that theres gonna be just as many cool dudes, especially ones i havent seen in a while. basically i'll be there for me, and no one else, and i dont give a shit about anyone or anything that may or may not have anything to say otherwise.

besides big shows like this usually entail some surprises, like buddha showing up and death before dishonor and buddha playing BFB songs as an example of whats happened before. if i cant see BFB no more, ill settle for that.

also...... reach the sky.
