Maybe some of you older guys can help me out. Alright, now I like a bunch of hardcore/hc punk that are fast, on-point, loud, grimey, and pissed off as hell. But I also like to dabble around the borders of what some of you guys may consider "metalcore" or "boring mosh metal" and even "bro-core" for that matter (ie: First Blood, Madball, Bulldoze, Everybody Gets Hurt, Inhuman, Merauder, etc). Im aware of the differences between modern "tough guy breakdown hardcore" and the good ol' fast and aggressive hardcore punk that started it all, but the thing that bothered me for the longest is that some 'old hardcore' people have the elitist mentality that if you like modern tough guy shit that came out around the early 90's, then you dont like hardcore at all. I really dont get it. So, my question is... what's wrong with the modern hardcore? This excludes 'deathcore' bands, we all know that shit is unbearable.
