Its hilarious to me that Suicide File continues to call them reunion shows, when they've played like 25 shows since they "broke up." They were still awesome when i saw them, but the term reunion isn't really fitting.

i don't know if they were officially calling it a reunion show, but i was because i hadn't seen them since they'd broken up.

The best venue/punk house in minneapolis, and my favorite venue of all times just got foreclosed on. i have like 7 years and hundreds of shows worth of memories from the place, and it honestly makes me really sad that in a few months it will be no more. I'm hoping they do a few last shows and i can get out there for them.

Granted, none of you give a shit, but oh well.

also, its about time for me to do another big upload of shit. for those of you who have been downloading anything or everything i've been uploading in the past, let me know what you've liked so i know what sort of stuff to up. Otherwise its just going to be a slew of random shit and i'll have to hope more than 1 person downloads it and that hopefully someone enjoys it.

Heres a bunch of shit i haven't posted before, as well as a few that i have but only got 0-2 downloads. A lot of old classics in here that you should all have, as well as some newer shit that i quite enjoy.

86 Mentality - On The Loose 7"

cover_86_otl.jpg

http://www.mediafire.com/?yzzjgomzkmg

Awesome 80s style hardcore punk from Washington DC. Pissed off and raw as fuck. The vocalist is really gruff and kinda weird at first, but it works and will make you want mosh around the room and sing along. They broke up about 2 years ago.

Clockcleaner - Babylon Rules

30vnhvr.jpg

http://www.mediafire.com/?4qmtm1j5xm1

angry noise rock from Philly. Somewhat comparable to Flipper, Brainbombs, Jesus Lizard, Big Black, etc. Had a reputation for pissing off concert goers/promoters/venues/anyone, and were banned from almost all venues in Philadelphia. Also broke up in 2008. This is a must have for anyone who likes anything even remotely in the vein of noise rock/punk/whatever.

Deep Wound - Discography

deepwound_main.jpg

http://www.mediafire.com/?dmi2nmiqzzm

One of the greats, from the early 80s. Deep Wound and Siege are considered by many to be the earlyinspiration for grindcore due to the furiousness of the drumming. Members later went on to form Dinosaur Jr. Honestly, if you don't know about Deep Wound, you need to start learning. Fast as fuck, snotty, and probably inspired a bunch of your favorite bands.

Flipper - Generic

http://www.mediafire.com/?dilkkjnmmiz

Incredibly influential punk/noise rock band from San Francisco formed in 1979. Slow, noisy, and drugged up. I'm terrible at writing band descriptions, so just check them out if you haven't already. Most of you probably won't give a fuck, a few of you will love this and play it into the ground.

Inmates - Now We Talkin Hardcore 7"

inmatesep.jpg

http://www.mediafire.com/?wn4dtyzzmnc

Cleveland hardcore, with the vocalist doing all his vocals with a british accent. That probably sounds incredibly odd/shitty, but i can pretty much guarantee everyone in this thread (even those of you who usually don't share the same tastes as me) will enjoy this. If it doesn't make you want to throw a chair/bottle and smash into a bunch of people, then there is something wrong with you.

Retainers - ST LP

http://www.mediafire.com/?enbnitnqoez

Drug/booze fueled garage punk. Sloppy, noisy, raging, and grimey. One of my favorites out of Minneapolis, and has provided many a great intoxicated show. Plenty of solos and great lyrics.

Social Circkle - demo tape

scan0021.jpg

http://www.mediafire.com/?zn23mzdjwaz

Fast 80s style hardcore punk out of Massachusetts. If i was going to compare them to a band you all might be more familiar with, i'd say Career Suicide or Government Warning. I personally like the demo versions of the songs more than some of the re-recordings they did on later 7"s. They put out a new LP earlier this summer, but i keep forgetting to get ahold of it. Supposedly some of their best stuff yet.

Urban Waste - EP

uwaste_single.jpg

http://www.mediafire.com/?mymjtzvcje2

NYC hardcore from the early 80s. They were around for a few years and only put out this 7". Raw, in your face, ripper. This is a classic and another band that had a big influence on punk/hardcore on the east coast, and specifically New York.

Zero Boys - Vicious Circle

zero-boys-vicious-circle.jpg

http://www.mediafire.com/?ztm2ehm4zgn

Another early 80s hardcore punk band, this time hailing from Indianapolis. Catchy as fuck and with that really fucking 80s sound you'd expect from some west coast punk during that time. Once again, just download it and ignore the fact that i'm putting no effort into these descriptions.

Enjoy.

While i'm at it, heres a link to my mediafire for anyone who wants more shit that i've uploaded but doesn't want to dig through all the pages in this thread. Most of the stuff is labeled with the band and album, though some is just labeled as the band or album by itself. If you have any questions on what something is, or want some sort of description outside of what you can find on myspace or lastfm, just ask.

edit: as always, letting me know what you liked helps me in uploading other bands and albums that you might enjoy as well.
