  1. Latest reason for rich New Yorkers to throw their money away on pizza: https://www.nytimes.com/2017/05/02/dining/pizza-expensive-sofia-shoppe-nyc.html?action=click&pgtype=Homepage&version=Moth-Visible&moduleDetail=inside-nyt-region-0&module=inside-nyt-region&region=inside-nyt-region&WT.nav=inside-nyt-region&_r=0 Fuck, I can get a well made, multi-topping pie size large and still come in under $20
  2. Watched this bigger ant cross paths with a much smaller ant. Little dude delivered some sort of quick death blow and left this guy writhing in agony. All that yellow shit is pollen.
  3. "And I, for one, would like to welcome our new insect overlords...."
  4. I don't think it's fucked up, it's how the CIA operates. I mean they have that book that details other countries resources and shit which pretty much tells you they're looking around at everyone else thinking what potential value do these places hold for us if we disrupt and/or acquire. I imagine that we virtually have the technology to watch KJU take his morning shit every day from space, and we could probably drop a bomb on him at any time we want. But- the American goverment is ultra concerned with face/image, I imagine they would rather get someone of Korean blood to do the dirty work for them, and then probably kill them to keep it from getting out. And we have to worry about Russia too before making any moves. Ironic view on protestors since you are THE Protestor, no? Lol. There's probably room for some degree of extreme thinking on a lot of issues, I mean people have shit that they hold dear and personal for their reasons and we're just not all going to meet in the middle on everything. However, there is evidence that when you have two opposing views, especially extreme views, the most you will get is moderate change where each side is willing to give in only a little to reach an agreement. Doesn't accomplish much. Dickhead congressmen love to stall shit forever, then reach one of these barely budging agreements, and then appear together before the American people acting as if they accomplished something together. Sickens me. There is also evidence though that when two opposing sides are given equal power/status, and they have to work together to achieve a common desirable goal, they can pretty much make that happen. The unfortunate part of American politics is that people no longer know how to work together, it's all about holding a party line, and Americans generally accept this with little protest. I've voted one party my whole life, but at this point, I'm more likely to choose an independent, and probably more likely to view an independent as a bit more real. We were already fucked on mental health a long time ago, things can only get worse if they make cuts to something that really needed an increased budget years ago. Essentially a lot of state run services, including hospital and residential programs, were shut down maybe 15-20 years ago. A lot of those people ended up under bridges, in the woods, along RR tracks, and a lot ended up in prison systems not equipped to handle that population. They also cut length of stay for serious shit like suicide attempts, so you can try to kill yourself today, get hospitalized tonight, and quite possibly be released in the morning with nothing having changed. That is true insanity.
  5. Props on some posting, will look for more. If I may offer two pieces of constructive criticism though- 1- in any benching I hate when people fuck with the color saturation. Makes no sense to me, takes away from the natural beauty of what is. Plus it strikes me as trying to put an artistic spin on something that is already artistic, like you don't try to colorize an Ansel Adams. 2- the way some of these are shot you can't even read the piece, which defeats the purpose. You either need to set the camera further back (or don't zoom in so much) or pan the camera. The aerial shots were cool, wish I could see what was on those.
  6. You mean you were born like this?! I'm a little to old to worry about lead affecting my development but at the same time I wouldn't sit down and eat a bowl of brass shavings and gunpowder. Also, I've never had this issue with a rifle or shotgun. I did have the thought that maybe it's the use of cheap ammo. I don't reload my own and frequent shooting can be expensive.
  7. Among this morning's headlines are claims by NK that the CIA has a plot of how to kill KJU. I found this semi amusing as I imagine the CIA has plots of how to eliminate most foreign leaders, friendly or not. The ongoing conversations here and elsewhere on who is worse, Trump or Clinton, were and still are laughable to me. Both are complete turds, Clinton might just be a better polished turd but shit is still shit even if you shine it up. I also think you have to look beyond policy to things like who do they accept money from and give it to, who are some of their supporters, what foreign connections do people like Clinton have, etc. Again, I didn't support either candidate.
  8. Curious if anyone is concerned about contaminants from lead and other residues and what do you do about it? Every once in a while I'll get some kicked back in my face with the pistol, probably a mix of gunpowder and shell casing, can't be good. Of course hands always get dirty and I've made a point to always wash before leaving the range, really don't want to wear gloves.
  9. I can'y say that I paid a ton of attention to what Obama was doing at that time but am finding it hard to believe that insurance companies, who have traditionally refused pre-existing conditions, would willingly start taking them all as well as having to cover some basic benefits that they wouldn't before. Not sure that forcing everyone to get insurance would somehow outweigh that so curious where your info comes from? I don't need exact references or links or anything.
  10. Forgot one thing- Dems and others need to stop trying to make zingers at Trump involving the literal use of his name- it's gotten mad old and isn't funny anymore, if it ever was. Think they need to stick to politics and leave the jokes for the comedians.
  11. Figure there are 1 or 2 of you who are happy with how the vote went. I saw the last few minutes on up to where the president was talking at the WH. Some random thoughts, there's a lot of security around Congress, the WH, yet that bus load of Republicans got stopped at traffic lights and there appeared to only be like 3-4 security vehicles accompanying them, guess I thought they would have cleared the way for them. Has there been many times where so many congressmen have been invited to the WH over something like this? Looking at the stage it looked mainly like a bunch of rich old white men gloating and holding each other's dicks. Was nice of Jimmy Kimmel to lend his support with his story, but then I'm thinking- he's Jimmy Kimmel. He has insurance through the network, sure, but even if he didn't, pretty certain dude could pay the whole bill for his son in cash. Probably got star treatment the whole way through, not what most Americans face. Find it a little hard to believe that the insurance companies are going under because of Obamacare. They make money on the gamble that you're not going to get sick and use your benefits, and even when you do use your benefits someone is monitoring them trying to get you to use as little as possible. Also curious what actually makes care expensive. As seen recently with some individuals, they take a needed medication and jack the price up astronomically, so we know that at least certain treatments do not cost as much as you are charged.
  12. Kind of minimalist, but basic can still be quite good. Not sure I approve of throwing any leafy greens on a pizza (except fresh basil of course), especially after cooking. I had one once and wasn't fully feeling it- there's nothing to hold the greens in place and they don't cook and blend with the other ingredients. Can't realy take it to go as the greens wilt, can't reheat for kind of the same reason although I guess you can just take the greens off and add them on again at the end. Anyone else want to weigh in on leafy greens on pizza? Also how about chicken? I've heard claims that it doesn't belong on pizza but I have seen it work.
  13. You're in a different country/economy, what do you usually pay for a slice? A NY slice is going to be maybe $2.50. There's a few places that will sell $1 slices but you tend to get what you pay for with that. A NY slice should be roughly the size of 2 slices from anywhere else. I forget exactly how long I lived in NYC but wen I got there there was almost a pizzeria on every block. Surprisingly, a lot of them sucked and you had to look around for what was really good.
  14. Out the game temporarily, bad pollen allergies have had me running a fever since Sunday night. Pretty brutal, this shit should be dropped on Isis.
  15. @misteraven You promised Ja Rule and an island and we expect you to deliver.
  16. I tend to shoot panels if I'm at a distance to give a closer look at the piece, if I'm up against the freights like walking a line, or if there are elements of the background that might reveal something I don't want known, like a location specific. Otherwise context matters, especially since freights are mobile and the context changes. I'm used to seeing grain mills/silos in the Midwest and think it's cool you included that in the shot up above. You also have to figure that a guy who rocked a freight in the snow of Canada might like to see that freight caught in opposite conditions, like the desert of New Mexico for example. People also seem to like having their pieces caught on a high RR bridge so you see the train and bridge against the sky. Anyhow, yes, context matters.
  17. Watched The Interview. Started up kind of funny but could not hold that together for the rest of the movie. Some enhancements from beer and such may have made it seem funnier at first. Think that group of guys like Franco and Rogen have been made fun of a lot for being homos with each other. Beginning of the movie they poked fun at that, thought hey, it's good they have a sense of humor about it. But then it became an ongoing and escalating thing in the movie like a bad Saturday Night Live sketch that beats a joke to death and keeps going, unaware of when to stop. End impression, they are homos. Not that there's anything wrong with that. Movie provided some entertainment but nothing worth owning or watching again. If you haven't seen it, you're not missing much.
  18. Saw yet another story of outrage that a breastfeeding woman was asked to cover up. So.... in general women get mad that guys look at their tits but when they're breastfeeding they can let it all hang out? In summary, free the nipple.
