  1. Teamsters union just won a strike a bit up the coast from me involving garbage men. https://voiceofoc.org/2021/12/orange-county-trash-strike-ends-garbage-pickups-to-resume/
  2. @metronomeits sauce poorly applied but there was also unlimited supply of sauce for dine-in/take-out. Also a weird sauce. Couldn’t put my finger on what it is… looks like creamy siriacha but no spice.
  3. union called their bluff. https://www.kiro7.com/news/trending/11-week-kelloggs-strike-end-after-multi-year-agreement-reached/25R67UQLN5FKDEKUQHDLZDWS2E/ The 11-week strike at Kellogg’s has come to an end after workers approved a contract with the company. The Bakery, Confectionery, Tobacco Workers and Grain Millers’ International Union president Anthony Shelton said the contract makes gains for the 1,400 union workers and has no concessions. The five-year agreement has wage increases and cost-of-living adjustments the first year, in addition to the expansion of health care and retirement, the Post reported.
  4. @Mercerany chance you got a link to the original post? Would like to share with someone.
  5. Raw honey. Hell yeah πŸ‘
  6. Cracked black pepper kettle >>>>
  7. I don’t think I’ve ever seen these how do you think you’d do in a blind taste test: these VS Cheetos?
  8. My favorite part of party mix/bar mix are these little bread slices
  9. I don’t understand how that works out either. Ok so they have a search warrant for his house, search it, find a safe (open it?), find loose diamonds, photos and CDroms - then realize their warrant doesn’t cover the safe, so they leave to get a new warrant - without leaving any agents to guard the safe - and while they are doing that Epstein’s lawyer clears out the safe β€œfor safe keeping” and they get the items back from him…. Lol what the fuck?
  10. @Mercerthats kinda how I see it too. It reminds me of the NHL Winter Classic, where it’s more about the experience of the venue than anything else.
  11. @ndvwe used to have a technology section but it got archived at some point. Buy/sell section and meet-up sections got the axe too. These sections were all short lived and if I remember correctly were introduced after the major forum upgrade and lasted maybe only a year or so. Around the same time duty free was renamed style and crossfire was renamed news. Music, lifestyle and entertainment sections were also introduced around the same time but survived the culling. Spreading everything out across the extra sections kinda hollowed out channel zero imho. Everything off topic used to pretty much live in ch.0 and there were threads continuously getting bumped all on one landing page.
  12. going to watch at a friends house who has showtime. anyone seen it? have heard it’s good but have also heard there are faces and locations in it….
  13. I still can't picture it in my mind. And I'm curious if this will be one time or yearly? Ive been to a football game there and it's a small area. Also no parking lot around it, it's on USC campus so no tailgating or the big trailers selling merch. Will be interesting. I’ve been to four or five nascar races at Fontana and they are a good time.
  14. https://www.foxnews.com/auto/nascars-l-a-coliseum-track-1-million-build NASCAR's first race of 2022 will be held on a temporary asphalt track being built on top of the football field at the L.A. Memorial Coliseum for the first time and the price to pull it off has been estimated at over $1 million. NASCAR's Vice President of Marketing Services Patrick Rogers confirmed the figure Sports Business Journal's Adam Stern ahead of the start of construction this week. The pavement will cover the entire infield of the historic stadium and provide a quarter-mile track that will host several qualifying and heat races ahead along with main event during the Busch Light Clash at the Coliseum over the weekend of Feb 6-7. While the price may sound high for a disposable track, Bristol Motor Speedway CEO Marcus Smith told the Associated Press that his venue spent $2 million to convert it to a dirt surface for the spring race held there this year. It's also not the first time a paved track has been built at the Coliseum. The Stadium Super Trucks series laid down asphalt on part of the infield for an event in 2013. NASCAR should be able to recoup the costs with a sell-out, however, as the Coliseum holds 78,000 fans and ticket prices run from $65 to $866. Along with the racing, rapper Pitbull will be performing a 45-minute concert before the final. Pitbull is part-owner of the Trackhouse Racing team that will field cars for Daniel Suarez and Ross Chastain in 2022.
