Here's a question - I have a sony minidisk walkman from 4-5 years ago, a "net md walkman mz-ne410". I'm trying to get the software that it originally came with because I lost it. I'd like to use this as there's nothing wrong - I need the software to do so however. Anyone point me in the right direction? Or not worth wasting my time?

does adidas still make skate specific shoes? wasn't gonz skating for them maybe like 8 or 9 years ago? also, when nike tried to get into the skate shoe thing in the 90's, there was a whole lot of resistance from everyone - they just came in with a shoe and a few riders like everything was everything, without having any real concrete connections or ties with skateboarding itself. someone else already said it, this time around they pumped a whole lot more money into shit like events, popular riders, advertising, etc. but with skateboarding such a commercial money-maker now, who didn't really see that coming, x-games, video games, nike. I'm not going to get into "the good old days" bullshit because people do that with anything and everything that progresses, but shit is pretty far from what I did as a kid, to the point where the only similarities are the fact that the board is wood and the number of wheels is 4. All I see now is huge obsessions with what kind of set-up you have to the point if you ride "blank" deck, you wear "blank" shoes, and have to have a "blank" haircut. It was always there, but it just seems so much more magnified now. /end rant

jj are you going to be doing any shows a little farther north, like d.c., baltimore, philly, nyc, etc.? I'm really interested in the music, like what you posted in some of the other threads.

Crackman - why are alot, if not the majority, of releases not in the u.s? Do we just not have the market? Dude, I'm loving those hurraches - I've been meaning to ask you if you collected any of those for a while, probably one of my favorites from nike. Everytime I go to court for sentencing I wear three white tees, three pairs of boxers and a couple pairs of socks, under "nice" clothing. Shoes I can play ball in, a pair of shower shoes and a few stamped and sealed "if you're reading this, I'm in jail" letters. Fuck wearing the same shit for two weeks sitting on quarantine before you hit population, and fuck playing basketball in wingtips. DAO, I feel you about the suit tip, I went upstate in a suit before and got clowned on in the bus. First impressions are alot in prison, I don't care what that other dude said - sometimes you should care what other people think.

haha, I played this in all it's forms. d&d, ad&d 1st edition + second edition. I still have all the books, and a few of the different "worlds" like Dragonlance, Forgotten Realms, etc. Whoever said Dark Sun, that was the shit, that's around the time I stopped playing, but I read alot of the novels out of that series. I seriously thought about playing this shit again a few years ago, then I walked into a comic book store and looked at all the people involved in this shit and realized that I'm happy with my real life and don't need to create some alter ego to compensate for my lack of social skills. That, and I can get pussy. On the RPG tip, anyone play any other games? I was big into Shadow Run when it first came out, also the whole Mechwarrior/Battletech shit. FASA ftw. /yes nerd

Re: Great Pictures~ That man was/is in no way a hero to me, I just always found it somewhat interesting that people assumed that the man being executed was just some innocent bystander that just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. The guy who took the photo later admitted that although it was the photo that made him famous, he wishes he never took it, it ended up ruining the Saigon police officers life. On another note, you and I can sit here all day and talk about what we'd do in certain situations, but we weren't there. I'm sure everyone was a little out of their minds and I think that photograph conveys some really raw emotions extremely well.

Re: Great Pictures~ This is one of my all time favorite photographs. I remember as a kid always thinking that the guy holding the pistol was a ruthless killer shooting a civilian in the street like that, then a few years later I learned that this photo was taken right before the fall of Saigon and the "civilian" was the leader of a NVA death squad that had rounded up and shot unarmed civillians in the street, and the guy with the pistol was actually a Saigon police officer or some shit. Everyone always assumed he was some evil, heartless killer without knowing the story. I may be off on a few facts here, someone correct me if I'm wrong. I know the guy moved to the U.S. and opened a resturaunt. Really emotional photo for sure though.

I'll agree with you on this. I remember that time frame. I did this shit constantly for a few years, and it def fucked my head up a little. I only occasionally smoke weed anymore - sometimes if I smoke too much, I get some paranoid acidy trip kind of mood where I can barely function on a social level, I blame that on lsd.

I think with your "rookie mistake" you might have a few more things to worry about than this.

I don't care if it tastes like shit, or that it's cheap or that it's what yall drank before you were rich or paid or got "real jobs". Sometimes depending on the situation, a 40 can be a good thing. Here in Pennsylvania, you can't roll into every corner store, grocery store and gas station and get a six-pack of Norweigian Donkey Piss Winter Ale nor a bottle of Johnny Walker. Liquor laws here are unlike other states for the most part. So you're stuck with shitty neighborhood bars that has six varietys of malt liquor and six packs of Coors Light or Budweiser. Sometimes you have to flip it and bounce it. It's amusing that no matter what the thread is, dudes will roll up in it and hate on it just on principle. P.S. - I don't think you're exactly the authority on self-respect either.
