Idk there are tons of videos out there of dudes that don’t suck at ribs going straight skin on or just scoring the back which definitely lets seasoning in. I used to do a lot of reading in the existentialism department especially Camus. Never really thought of that shit aligning with stoicism so that’s pretty interesting. Did you ever end up reading the stranger? That’s one of my all time favorite books period not just philosophy. Also “A happy death” & “The Rebel”. I’ve heard a lot on stoicism over the last couple of years though. I lack serious discipline in my life I think. Would be something to look into for sure. Also lmk what you think of that meditations book that shit keeps popping up everywhere in my daily too. Just tonight even as I was watching that new Paul giamatti movie.

Not so exactly similar contribution but I taught my kid how to haggle with the street side flower peddlers back on Mother’s Day. Being the procrastinating fuck I am, we were running late on grabbing my son’s mom a few roses (that’s all she gets these days now that we are separated) but I’m no monster. Always know I can count on the street light hustlers that day. So two lights prior to where I know they’ll be I stop at the beer store atm and grab a 20 and a 24 of bud michelada to break change. Tell the kid hey this is how it’s going down. There’s gonna be a guy up there selling flowers. I want you to yell out “how much?!” Most likely she’s going to say 20, but I want you to say you only got 15. If he says 15 offer then becomes 10. He looked puzzled but agreed quickly and easily to the 15 of course and was quite possibly on crack but it was a win all around. A valuable lesson in haggledom was learned.

Always hated that dude but respected his stand up to racist ass Tony but salute Tony regardless lolol. If that was me irl I woulda ended up in one of those holes in the Jersey forests.

This is the lamest most boring movie I’ve ever committed to in a long time lol. Indonesia really let me down. Kinda furious actually. It’s like nothing even happens and there’s just super long droned out scenes to more played out nonsense. There’s even a fake shining scene. Terrible suspense music. 3 outta 5. I went for it because the last Indonesian horror movie I’ve seen was impetigore which is fuckin sick. Not this one.
