i hate cop dramas, and season 1 was good and worth watching even if just for this line: of course i'm dangerous. i'm a cop; i can do terrible things to people with impunity

yeah, it's a shit situation when you encounter a dog that needs professional help (or might be beyond help) it happened with one of my fosters. i had to return her to the rescue because she would not stop trying to attack people. it was actually kinda scary. we still fostered a bunch more, but it's so much work i just adopted #3 and gave it up eventually.

ugh, really? and just FYI, i finally got around to watching true detective (season 1) last month and most of the links on projectfreetv were super old and broken. cable has gotten better at getting that shit taken down too so i really had to click through to get working links. one of the episodes i had to dl on torrent cuz none of the links still worked. and while we're doing this, i can't log in to demonoid anymore. does anyone have an invite?

i refused to buy into condo fees. i also can't stand the idea of living someplace where people can still tell you what you can and can't do with your own home. people are nuts about control, and neighbors can make your life hell if they want to i went with a house. my mortgage is so low (way under a grand a month) i feel sad for people trying to buy in NYC/SF etc.

i remember seeing Empire Strikes Back at like age 4 and they had a guy dressed as Darth Vadar come into the theater. It was scary for a little kid. But imo, you can't go back and relive that sorta shit.. in a 'you can't go home again' sense. plus nowadays people would thin kit was shooter. but it might be cool to go back to when movies were first invented. people prolly shit bricks.

well, the new season sure is diverging heavily. no complaints so far. not sure why the controversy about the white wedding rape scene. funny to me bc if people had read the books they;d see that ended up comparatively tame

choke got a 54% rating on rotten tomatoes and i promptly forgot it was ever made into a movie and anna karenina will not get less depressing. mang it gets much worse. but tolstoy is the man. after ak, i had to read war and peace and i loved it. amazing scope and scale, and lots more depressing stuff. the unfortunate thing tho, is that he got old and found god and wrote an epilogue woulda been better without that part. but the novel is incredible.
