  1. well, i just got back from seeing the campaign with will ferrel and zach galifianakis...it comes out on friday aug 10th, but had the hook up to see it today monday 6th. it was actually pretty funny.
  2. i dont really buy books from big book stores either...i just get them at the public library book sales or thrift stores...most are fairly new condition and cost anywhere from $1.50 to $2.00. i did get 2 books from borders a few years ago, but thats cause my ex got me a gift card from there.

  4. well, just finished the audacity of hope. it was a good read, although a bit dry at times when he was discussing historical aspects of the government and senate. but all in all, i enjoyed learning about his thoughts and perspectives on the different subjects presented.
  5. i bought kitchen confidential a couple years ago and even though its on my list, i have a few other books i want to read before i get to that...but a lot of people in this thread have suggested it, so i would go with that.

  7. dear symbols, i still have a bunch of my 80's toys...some he-man stuff, some hotwheels, some transformers stuff...i dont even know what happened to my dukes of hazzard thermos!...i still have my ALF lunchpail though from the 80s with the thermos, but its plastic :( cG

  9. nice collection username. seen some good books in there (native son, death of a salesman, maya angelou, their eyes were watching god) i read the death of a salesman play and zora neale hurstons eyes were watching god in high school. @NOES-cant wait!
  10. a couple weeks ago i finished this: all about the beat ^made a couple good points i guess, but in general he just feels the need to really hate on hip hop...oh and he's mad redundant in this book. i have about 80 pages left on this: dreams from my father kinda interesting to learn a little bit more about President Obama's upbringing and background. next book im going to read is audacity of hope...then fahrenheit 451 (picked it up at walmart for $10...they are bringing back all the classic books..catcher in the rye, great gatsby, etc)

  15. yeah when the 1st back to the future was made, it was 1985...and they go back 30 years...to 1955, then in the sequel, they go forward 30 years to 2015 (even though the sequel came out in 1987)

  18. :lol::lol: i actually laughed when i read this. yeah, good hair was an interesting documentary about black people's hair...the girl im seeing asked me to watch it with her. water for elephants was because i read the book and wanted to see how real the movie kept it to the book. and bushwacked....well, i dont know wtf i was thinking there...haha.
  19. from last week: "good hair" (with chris rock) water for elephants (read the book last year...the movie was actually done very well) bushwacked (kids movie but oh well..daniel stern is pretty funny)
