I wore a helmet like the first week I had my bike. Other than that. I don't wear one. Everybody in my family rides and no one ever wears a helmet. I've never been freaked out by it. I know it's stupid not to wear one, but y'know, gotta make sacrifices to look cool.

I've heard that the rigid mount sportsters are pretty fucking gnarly as far as the vibration goes. But I've never ridden one, so I couldn't tell you first hand. Hdforums.com and xlforum.net have a bounty of information about sportsters.

Yeah 1200. I love it. It's my first bike and I couldn't be happier with it. Have you looked at Harley's Iron 883? Same deal as the Nightster. Blacked out look. But the MSRP is like $8000.
