Uninstalling Flash

    one of the best things I ever did.

    Can always reinstall for a game or whatever, but it eliminates every annoying ad out there.. say word :stretch:

    if you're using mozilla, you could just install Adblock.

    yeah...you can just select Block pop up windows on Safari and Internet explorer I thought..

    i dont really have a prob w/ ads or popups.. but flash is too much of a drain on the ol' cpu

    ive been using mozilla for about 2 years now and ive gotten lets say, 5 pop-ups, but those were from ad/spyware, not surfing thru the browser. check ur system man.

    Pop up blockers don't work on the flash popover ads, because they aren't using the same type of window.open commands that those ads use. It's usually something fancy with CSS or DHTML, but as somebody else said Firefox and Adblock can kill them quick like.
