metronome
https://www.macleans.ca/news/canada/the-nova-scotia-shooter-case-has-hallmarks-of-an-undercover-operation/ This story is getting messier and messier. The fed Gov't used this incident to push an 'assault style weapon ban' (which is mostly security theatre dogshit) as a result of this shooting. It looks more and more likely that the RCMP knew this guy had illegal/smuggled guns and that he was acting as an informant with close ties to HA. Ooops! 1

Kults
Ya somethings up. I’m leaning towards involvement in organized crime but who knows

Canada has had an actual assault weapon ban since the 70s, but most Canadians don't know how to define that. The law Kults is referring too didn't even go through parliament like it's supposed to. We had billions wasted by a previous iteration of our federal government years ago trying to do a nationwide long barrel rifle registry. Our gun laws were just fine before this shooting. The problem with mass shootings in Canada is they're typically done with illegally obtained/smuggled in firearms. Sure looks like this one was done by an RCMP agent.
