Crook_fo'_Life
b h d dude i saw it about a few weeks back and it was honestly the WORST FUCKING MOVIE i have ever see.... no joke it was absolutely horrible. There was no plot and the whole movie was basically one big repetitive battle between americans and somalians with a bunch of scenes thrown in having nothing relevent to do with the story line. If you see this movie, no matter how high you are, you will be very disappointed.
Pistol
No Plot? It was based on a true story a few years back.

Pistol
It takes a while to make a movie especially war movies with all the stunts and explosions. So my guess would be they were already filming thembefore hand. But yes I wondered about that too. That We Were Soldiers looks pretty cool. Hart's war looks pretty good too. Guest beardo
i usually cant stand explosion/shoot em up/army drama movies. but this one was alright.
patrickjilbert
i read the book before, so it was much more enjoyable. i reccomend it, but it's still a decent movie without it - if you like shoot em ups.
Guest --zeSto--
I wore a kufi when I went to see this movie. I wanted to show my support for the underdogs. I've said this many time before... When I see guys in tanks fighting guys armed with stones... I identify with the stone throwers.

Guest --zeSto--
you know what I mean... I'm not for the malitia men, but the average citizen who's been shit on from all sides. Think about it like this... You've been oppressed by warlords for your entire life, then some other guys show up who are a different colour, armed with flying machines, and killing hundreds of you tribesmen. For all you know they are the next warlords, who cant even speak to you. It would be like having aliens land and start shooting lazers. what are you going to do? Pistol
fuckin Zesto "Aliens shooting lasers" HAHA dude. Let's keep it non-political in here. Just about movies. Or else we just argue back and forth.

Guest --zeSto--
you like that..? zaap.. pow... kazam! oh.. I liked the movie! The scene geography was well done. Ridley Scot has a great ability to get in really tight, but not make the audience get lost. --- what I mean is simple... Once you establish your bearings, (what way is north) you should feel that you're still correct through out the movie. This is a very common mistake among action directors. But look at how Ridley Scot keept the scene geography in Aliens and Gladiator... action genius fellows!
Agent Uprise
I dont know how you can ask responses to this thread to be apolitical. This movie is US propaganda at its finest. The government worked hand in hand with hollywood to produce this movie of a FAILED military mission in bumblefuck africa to whip up war fervor in the reactionary population of the US. In exchange for use of military equipment (helicopters and shit) and military 'advisors' on scene, the pentagon got the priveledge of re-writing the script to thier liking. Anybody who would care to thank the Hero of the movie "John Grimes" (screen name changed at pentagons insistance) from saving Amerika from an invasion of 'skinnies' (they were JUST about to attack, really...) can write him at: Fort Leavenworth Military Prison, Kansas U.S. His real name is John 'stebby' Stebbins He's currently serving a 30 year sentence for sodomy with a child under 12 years old and rape PLEASE, dont take MY word for it, read the article at the Ney York Post

yoink
movie was good, book was better, and please believe you cant bitch at the service men that werethere,if you want to point fingers ,point them at the politicians not the rangers, delta or any other actual soldier..the politicians made a fuck up, tried to cover it and then pulled out these men that just fought through the levels of hell for their lives and for a justified cause they were supposedly there to "support and achieve", just a brief remark cause i dont want to write a fucking book:)
yoink
and bout the script benig changed by the pentagon and the powers above, then read the book and and see how it close it was, mark bowden is an excellent journalist and because of his non affiliation with the military or gov, allowed for an incredibly detailed account from us soldiers and somalis alike..without any bullshit changes or doctored up to look better for the us....
