asdf_va!
When I was younger... I worked at a walmart. IT WAS AMAZING. I would have my boy come in and get a shopping cart full of rusto and kyrlon cans, and one walmart white(amazing for the price by the way), and I would count the cans and ring up 50+ @ $.98. We would would split the cost and get quality cans for a buck a piece. I was a teenager then. Damn, we were racking cans from all over too. K-marts back in the day use to stock krylon and some rusto, and we walk right out will so many cans. Those were the days... Getting Cheap Paint... Tip #68 There are plenty of great ways to get cheap paint. Here are 2 forms of 1 great way. Find an ArtStore, or HardwareStore that has paint you want, and DOESN'T use the barcode system to price shit. You will know this, because they will have little price tags on the can and possibly over the barcode already on the can. Buy something cheap... see if they scan it or not. They may not even have scanners at all. Golden. All stores that stock good paint, will also stock shit paint. I don't know why they do this, but they do. Look for the cheap paint. You have a couple of choices here... 1. Just peel the cheaper tag off the cheaper paint, and replace the good paints price tag. Works like a charm, but be careful... Most places will consider this automatic shoplifting, and will try to detain you. If not though... you got some cheap paint. 2.Get one of THESE. Super cheap and if you make a bunch of the price tags(before you go to the store so you don't have the gun with you) you can price every can on the rack quickly, and then claim that ALL of the can's were priced that way. They can't blame you if you are only buy some of the now cheaper cans. They will say it was an error and you can demand the marked price. I have done this before. It's kinda funny and sad at the same time. But I got their/my new price. Watch out for the crafty wanabe manager type kid. He probably priced the paint and will notice this change immediately. Look for the dead beat mom that works there, or older man/lady that wouldn't think the wiser. If a 30 something dude is wearing a tie and ringing people up... he is a Mark and should be avoided. This is HIS domain, and it's the only achievement he will ever make in his miserable, meaningless life. Pity him... but avoid him. Good luck suckers. androidx
Watched a kid at a lowes get busted right in front of me for putting fake tags on cans for cheaper prices. Sketched me out for that trick. All the rest have always worked clean for me. Good post asdf.
asdf_va!
^^close call for real! I'm a baller now... So I usually just buy twice as much paint as I need, and then empty half of the cans out the window of my loft, and throw away the empty cans at college kids riding their bikes to class in the morning, yellin' "Fuck the COPS!" I live a good life.
nbamlbballer
But if they use the barcode method i "heard" that you can just take sharpie and make a line across the barcode and it wont go off. I think they do that shit at cedar point in the gift store.
androidx
Yes, that will work, but not to get you a cheaper price. They will just call an employee and have them go check the rack price, or call in the number. asdf, That's what's good about or town. Old Granny
heres a handy trick: get a job. earn dollars. use this 'money' (or weed or drugs or sexual favours or whatever) to trade with other writers who have racked cans. the other writers get money and weed, you get cheap-as-paint... works for me anyway. Old Granny
oh yeah and as for markers the trick is to keep the ink mix simple, and dont THINK about it before adding anything to the mix, or it might fuck up and you've wasted half an hour and a bunch of materials... my first ink mix ended up eating thru my nibs and i ruined about 4 pens :(

Or you could just learn a simple way yourself to get paint for cheap. Hence asdf's posts. And this should have been posted in the spray paint, or inventory thread. You have to think and know about what you are mixing. And not just what you are mixing, but the right amount to mix. If you don't think about what you're doing, you will end up ruining your markers. And this post should have been in the ink thread. Neither of your posts are relevant to this thread.
Chubbs
is black india good for any kind of markers? i heard yes and no.
nbamlbballer
its good if you only want it to stay up for about 5-6....HOURS. Its almost like comparing acrylic paint to oilbased paint in those tems. I wouldnt mess with it cuz its just a wate of time for me but it may act as a thiner if you dont have enough good ink but thats about it and i still wouldnt even do it then. sk8er6
my fav markers have to be either chapstics(sure its around here somewhere) and push pops. this is from a tut i typed from stencilrevolution.com Push Pop(candy, not ice cream) Eat up. Rinse it out, drip wax and let cool 3 seperate times, until you completely cover the slider. Then, flip over so its upside down, and completely seal the bottom. Cut and fold up felt, make sure it fits. Then, you are going to want to put in one small pin hole in the cap. If you do not, whaen you close it, it will push air that will push ink, almost like a pump, throught the bottom of the marker. Then drip in ink. 2 cm nib. This is by far the Weakest thing I read in a long time. I don't use the term WEAK when I am serious about a statement I have made, but there is no other term that I could think of. WHY would you bring yourself to the level of paying someone for stolen goods, that you plan on breaking the law with. If you actually write, illegally, then why be afraid to get your own supplies? Why be someones run around bitch, doing favors for people and making yourself look weak like a crack head looking for paint? I would pity people like you but, lucky enough for me, I just don't care. Do shit for yourself, and stop being someone else's lap dog.

BLESt
best markers ever get your favorite mix of very thin INK(ink only) get woodcrft clean that bitch out completely and add ink keep pump and nib close up like normal. and little duct tape at the seam and there you go. if your writing with a marker do you really need it to look like a push pop. by the way do em dirty works best. p.s. woodcrafts are good cuase you can squeze them when you write for drips. sk8er6
niceee what kind of ink did you fill it with. red ballpoint pen ink, alcohol, leather dye. if your writing with a marker do you really need it to look like a push pop. push pop markers are by far the cheapest homemade to make. At walmart: 48 cents for candy 25-39 cents fora a little cheap candle if you dont have any kind of wax at your house. and 20 cents for a sheet of felt. and push pops already look like markers, and are small. if you saw one that didnt say push pop on it, what would you think it was? Supergluing the nib in was the mistake, IMO. If it was me, I'd throw it away and start over. 1. Empty chapstick tube 2. Seal bottom of chapstick tube. 3. Fill with ink of choice. 4. Plug up the nib with some felt. The way you do this is to roll the square of felt up (like a cig), then fold that in half. Jam it into the marker with the ends inside. You may have to cut the square down. 5. Use an eyedropper to get ink on the nib. 6. Bug out. Tell me how it goes
comic*hero
i carry mini-mops that you can squeeze, have a small head and make great drips. these are actually the new art primo mini mops, basically designed by combining the grog mop and the e-z paint drippers that asdf and i are familiar with. i'm getting 50 in either tomorrow or tuesday at the latest, so you can email/PM me and send payment and it'll be out to you real quick. they have an easy to squeeze body, a screw on top to avoid leaking issues and a great sturdy cloth nib that sits out and on top of the mop rather than being somewhat set in like the e-z paint drippers. in other words they're designed by experienced writers for writers and are still real cheap at only $2.99 per empty unit. i'll also be selling them filled with my ink for $5.99 each or $4.99 each for 5 or more. hmm i have teh exact 1 just that b4 i filled it with INK it was a bingo marker i have found in montreal, canada , thos bingo markers wich are super easy to re fiilll are found at every single dollllller store , easy to fill, great on the feild, controlable drips, price... 1 dollar ... the only diffrence is that the cap is usualy blue or purple other then that the whole structure and body of the marker is the exact same.. peace
Skag
Yeah, it pisses me off how loads of "graff companies" just grab a well used homade idea (IE Kiwi Mops, Bingo Markers/Glue pens) and sell it off as their own. Not saying they don't work, just a normal bingo marker will work just as well. My mate got one of those drippy empty markers that are on bombing science, the only thing different was its nib looked a bit thicker/tougher.
