Goes Bankrupt With Debts of Around $30M US By Amir Helmer, AP Correspondent Wednesday, July 13, 2005 03:52:32 PM The United States lubricant industry was shaken today as it emerged that GnomeToys corporation, which runs 16 heavy industrial lubricant plants and 133 used condom emporiums in the United States, is on the brink of bankruptcy. A group of the company's workers filed a request in the Missouri Superior Court to have a temporary receiver appointed to GnomeToys. GnomeToys' controlling shareholder and CEO, Joshua Reicher, agreed to the workers' request. Joshua gave a short speech, listing reasons for the poor showing. Among them, "People just don't seem to be getting the kind of harsh asspoundings they used to in the late 1990s. We have only sold 2,619 units of Anal-Eze since 2Q 2003." GnomeToys, Inc. provides facial products as well as anal lubricants. The petitioning employees claim the corporation has been withholding salaries from 270 workers. They say they have not been paid for May and June, and there seems little prospect of any pay for July either. The company's financial difficulties have prevented it from fulfilling its commitments, the workers say, adding that the company owes them about $3.1M US. Altogether the company's debts to additional parties total US $30 million. Reicher reportedly told the workers that unless new investment in GnomeToys can be found, the company's survival is in danger. Who would try to sell anal lube with Bush in office, anyway?
