im just starting up and i know its a tad shit but any ideas or thoughts on it? some help would be extremely appreciated

You need to start doing basic, basic, simple letters. Have a look through this thread, see who has a good rep and look at some of the basic stuff they post.

You write Syst, yeah?

To start off and to help you learn good letter structure, make it look something like this:

SYST

Sick as fuck VIEL. and phat, that looks better, but it still could use some work.. your 3d is everywhere as well, fix that, it all should only go in the same direction.

ANYONE WANNA EXCHANGE? :D

the 3d doesn't need to go in the same direction if the horizom line is in the center of the word....look up perspective...that sketch and this one r like four months old btw

PHETHEAD: In regular artwork it is okay to have the horizon line be the center of the artwork...in graffiti thought, it is supposed to all go to a vanishing point, so it looks as if the sun is casting the word's shadow.

Those two sketches are a lot better than what you've been posting.

buts its 3d...not a shadow.....if i were to carve the letters out from stone or some shit and looked at them placed in the center of the horizon (vanishing point, smae shit) the top and the bottom lines of the 3d would have to go in opisite directions in order to point tords the horizon
