fermentor666
I gotta recommend "The Diamond Age" by Neal Stephenson again. This is the best book I've read in the past couple of years. http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detai...=books&n=507846 Amazon Link.

Guest
After years of taunting my nerd friends, I finally broke down and read Ender's Game I just finished it thi9s morning and I have to say I totally understand why the nerds (sci-fi fans in the 80's) went so apeshit over it. It's really a great start to a series I might just continue. anyone else ever read it?
fermentor666
Haven't read Ender's Game, but I just finished reading this trilogy: http://www.burburinho.com/img/nn020220.jpg'> Neuromancer http://www.literatureview.com/scifi/scifi_covers/CountZero.jpg'> Count Zero http://www.literatureview.com/scifi/scifi_covers/monalisa.jpg'> Mona Lisa Overdrive All of them were original paperback pressings owned by my father (I'm a big ol' nerd). Neuromancer was the book that coined the term "cyberspace" back in 1984 (or maybe 86, can't remember). The three books are sort of unofficially a trilogy, but in order to get the full story you have to read em all. Anyone else read these?

Dr. Dazzle
For some reason I picked up Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six at work. Now I'm like halfway through it. I never thought I'd read a Tom Clancy novel, but it's actually quite an enjoyable read. I'm also reading the Bielski Brothers by Peter Duffy. It's a non-fiction book about three Belarussian brothers who helped a save thousands of Jews during World War II......

Weapon X
Originally posted by Dr. Dazzle For some reason I picked up Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six at work. Now I'm like halfway through it. I don’t know why there is a stigma around Tom Clancy for some people. I’ve read a few of his books and was never disappointed. So R6 is good, huh? I’m gonna have to check it out, eventually. Is there only one book, or more?
