duh-rye-won Posted January 18, 2005 Author Share Posted January 18, 2005 gatita, you really need to drop the silly schoolgirl obsession with aesop rock. shit is gettin corny. pretty cool illustration tho. and if i may critique.... lose the gradients in the background. keep it flat color. maybe skew the horizon line a little. not perfectly horizontal. make the scope crisp solid lines instead of blurred. or if you want it blurred, blur it more. lose the forearm tatt because tattoos are teh gay. you could also make the sneaker design a little more vague, right now it looks like a sneaker ad to me. sorry, i critique work 60 hours a week and it's turning into a habit i cant kick. another suggestion.... i like your style with these images you do. but have you ever tried distorting the photos in photoshop before you vectorize them in AI? like, use the smude tool to do wacky things first. i don't know, just a thought. seems like there is a lot of room for you to push your style in different directions. ^ :china: ^ Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I made the dumb mistake of re-saving the ai file after I did a tiff file, so now I cant fix it, unless I did in fact save another file of the ai. Blah I am also drunk, and really full. And aesop does have that tat. Originally the illustration was going to be strictly def jux, ended up being just aesop. I used to really like aesop rock until a lot of his lyrics turned into mush. Labor Days, and Float are fresh but Bazooka Tooth just isn't good.
