some good stuff on each one, and also something that could be changed on each. 1st one: got too much going on and the backwards E looks like an S. 2nd: I think the silver shadow didn't come off as good as it could, but it just might be ugly on top of the yellow/brown. 3rd: I like everything except the top of the P. 4th: Simple P is dope. The shape of the U and the fat bubble on the E don't feel balanced. 5th: Color on this pops nicely. Just my opinions...cheers on doing a bunch of different things!

junior, yes, that is a nice simple. you should have several nice simples under your belt. The U is a little crushed and the I could be more visible.

spawn, the major issue i have with your letters is lack of spine. they all seem like wonky jello. make lines with purpose. And at this point, leave the interior empty. 2 cents.

must spread rep before negging sik again. bumping your own bar-less shit makes me hulk-style angry. also, i tried to help once by telling you to draw the lines of the bars completely through everything, in pencil. erase what you don't need. don't just drop random negative holes in the D and E. those exist because the bars around them create the negative space. also, for the 100th time, pay attention to the width of the bars. Giml too. you get the same crits over and over. but nothing ever changes. don't listen to people that are saying you're improving. you're not going to, until you listen and implement some change. yes, i'm a dick. but i really can't look at any more posts by people that can't build a letter out of rectangles.

If you were using bars properly the E wouldn't look so retarded. leave off the stupid shit at the top of the artic. look at graffiti, look at typography, practice, and quit posting.

For a drop shadow this is true, but not necessarily for 3d. A light source could come from the 3d side. And if that were so, throwing some hi-lights on the 3d as well would make it look good.
