Since I was home for so long last summer/fall I was able to mitigate them from infiltrating our home by catching them on our patio. I made this “spotted lantern fly sticky staff” and altered it each time I made one. Caught some flies and other types of critters. this big yellow belly indicates she was ready lay eggs. Signs they are in your trees you will notice their secretion, honeydew, as a black sticky substance. this tree is covered. its all sugar and will create black mold these knotweeds are covered you can see it on the pavement from trees above I walk this parking lot everyday and no cars park on this back lot. It’s not oil bits droppings

A topic that is carried over from last summer SPOTTED LANTERN FLIES they have been missing through the winter just waiting for the warmer months for the eggs to hatch. I have some pics of them at various stages. We are all waiting for natural predators to develop but in the mean time you gotta recognize them and stomp out these pests. They multiply quickly. Through the winter and (if your spring is cold enough) you will see their eggs. They lay eggs and then cover them with a greyish substance that hardens to protect the eggs if you see these it’s valuable to scrape them off a tree or object and smash the fuck outta them. ISO alcohol also dead’s them once the hardens substance is broken into. here’s what the finished hardened substance looks like.

They always do. That’s what I’ve learned and keep telling myself. Yesterday I was at my peak Love the hell outta all ya filthy bastards I appreciate this.
