we split a 12oz bottle 3 ways which helped. I'm not a huge fan of cellaring beers but I think the age took some of the heat away. Overall it was a surprisingly subtle beer for 18.2%
Ruthless rye is getting a lot of hype, it's a solid beer and I'm happy it'll be taking the place of glissade
I had a 3 year old brew dog Tokyo stout last night that was on point
beers I drank last weekend:
Fantome Noel 2010 (not aged on purpose)
Fantome Noel 2011
Russian River Supplication
Russian River Pliny The Elder
Brasserie d'Achouffe N'ice Chouffe (meh) their blonde and tripel IPA are so much better
Evolution Lot 3 IPA - great IPA, best thing to ever come from the state of Delaware, score of 91 on Beer Advocate
wit wiz, obvious choice. /no dao
no, but seriously, havarti maybe? For some reason cheese on the same sandwich with beets doesn't sound appetizing to me and I love cheese and beets...just not together.
Anyone been to Columbia? My girlfriend and I would like to plan a trip there this spring. We're thinking 3 days in Bogota and 4 days in Cartagena. My only concern is that I'm a big ass gringo that will definitely stand out in a crowd. We would fly to both destinations and not venture out of the cities.
Any recommendations? should I be concerned about getting snatched up and held for ransom by narco terrorists? or blown up while dining at an outdoor cafe?
