I watched American Gangster last night. It was OK, except WAY too long and it spent a bunch of time trying to make (Mr. Over-fucking-rated) Russell Crowe's character seem flawed. I also think they went a bit far with his "I have flaws but when it comes to being a cop, I always do the right thing and never take bribes or anything". Yeah, whatever. It basically jumped from the exciting, fast paced drug world to boring family court and other scenes that overall didn't contribute to the movie every 30 mins. All in all, half of that movie could have been cut and it felt like they extended Russell Crowe's character's part just to make the part justifiable (read: long enough) for him to play it. His accent was shithouse too. It was an OK two-and-a-half hour film. Could have been an amazing 1-hour-45-min film.

Back on topic: Again with work - particularly in the first year and a half of my current job I had to deal with some senior staff members (i.e. people ranked higher than me) who were doing me a "favour" by letting me have complete control of the job we were supposed to be doing together. The favour being that I would gain valuable experience. The REAL favour was that I do all of the work while they do jack fucking shit and get paid way more than me for it. Needless to say - that shit doesn't happen anymore.

I think she was crying because she was being yelled at by a stranger - not necessarily because he hurt her feelings with his "facts". So not only is she being scared and humiliated, but she's also being frustrated by not being allowed to speak (thanks to dude's overbearing microphone hogging technique).

I think it's pretty obvious that she didn't have the balls (yeah yeah yeah, I know she's a girl STFU) to tell you over the phone - which means she is almost definitely doing something dodgy. I lived in a condo for 8 months while I was working in another city work paid for the whole thing so it was a pretty sweet deal. After that experience, I have a whole new fucking appreciation for grass, air, trees and the sun. House for sure. You grow sick of condos VERY quickly, even with all of their convenience.
