Was blessed to be able to have drank both the 2010, and 2011 Founders Kentucky Breakfast Stout (KBS) on draft yesturday......wow.... That the best way to describe it..."wow"....or maybe "holy shit"... i think i said both in my head as i sipped this aged nectar... Pretty alcoholic, very flavorful, i took some mental notes while drinking, but halfway thru the 2011 i was in a daze. I enjoyed the 2010 a bit more, seemed milder, this is def a beer that you can age.. I asked the bartender what he preferred, he said the 2011, because it "has more flavor" a simple response but this bartender is no dummy. Also was drinking before hand some Smuttynose.. and damn they gotta good line up! Old dog brown ale, there IPA, and pale ale was real good too.

If im just sitting up at the bar in the same spot all night, and if its a bar i frequent, i usually just tip when i leave.

also it sucks so many cool-hipster dudes are into track bikes now, it makes it hard for a real rider to pick up a nice vintage frame at a decent cost.

Yea up here in the north east its about 13 degrees now with snow all around. makes it hard to really ride, let alone train. i really miss riding the local mtb bike trails too. its almost impossible to ride the trails with snow on the ground - you cant even see where the trail is, and then you just end sliding around the whole time. ive just been riding the roads lately, also doing some hill repeats, with my single speed mtb bike at a slow, grueling pace - but training is training, and come spring my road bike will feel like a feather.

A local beer spot i go to often has alot of goodies on draft. Some to mention.. Rouges john john dead guy Corsendonk Chrismas Delrium Noctorum Maudite and Trois-Pistoles North Coast old #38 stout ON NITRO (Had last night, was very good) theres all kinds of rare brews to sip at this spot.. So whats everyones favorite(s) winter brews?? Some of mine would probably be.. Anderson Valley Winter Soltice ( kinda floral but real enjoyable, smooth ) Penn Brewery St.Nick Bock ( nice and balanced, can drink a few, very smooth ) Smutty Nose Winter.. (very flavorful, warms ya up, nice and hearty brew too )

If anyone gets a chance to buy/try this do so! This is in my top 3 favorite beers, and is off the top of my head is also my favorite winter beer. What a great treat, at 6.9 abv, and the taste and texture is just outta this world. I have been luck enough to be drinking this on tap (!), but im sure it is just as good in a bottle..Anderson Valley has never let me down, and is probably my favorite brewery..

Anybody got any flicks of 'Kool Reef'? those back in the day weed hands.... kinda more east end..

Drinking some Great Lakes Commodore Perry, and Elliot Ness. Not bad for a beer from ohio, im enjoying them with all this thanksgiving food.. Also picked up a 6 pack on Smutty Nose old dog brown ale - a great beer, and perfect for this time of year..
