funny enough, that whip is about to enter my stable. for real.
it may sound hypocritical coming from me but only an idiot would pass on a friend found/priced og waterford schwinn. bow down suckazzz. sike naw. hope the deal works out though.
i'm glad we're in agreement than, because that's about my favorite track frame i've ever seen, and the whole build is spot on. paramounts are the shit. my friend has an 80's road paramount, full suntour superbe pro group, i've been trying to buy it off him for so long because he has no idea of the value.

my current favorite bike. perfecto.

Wow, i'm way too much of a snob about coffee to be reading this thread. 5 dollar Starbucks drinks with so much shit added into them they don't even resemble coffee anymore? Are you fucking kidding me? And than you whine about calories?
Black with a hint of sugar, thank you. Keep your bullshit aspartame and splenda away from me too.
Some people need to man up, and here I was thinking it was only high school girls that buy crappy expensive drinks at Starbucks, Peet's, whatever chain of choice you frequent.

nah hesh, you just like to take pride in your own empty brand of snobbery where only campy record is considered adequete for riding.
as for me, i'll throw dura-ace on my bike, pronounce it "dur-atch-ee" and laugh about the stupid debates that cyclists go through ad nauseum.

Japan is where it's at.

There's rollers and there's trainers. Either way you gotta get rid of your knobby tires and buy slicks. Also, you're not going to find anything for under 100 unless you buy used on
CL, even than it's a crapshoot. Rollers help technique and you're basically balancing it out as you pedal on three barrells (rollers), they have a small learning curve. Trainers are a little different, you can sit there and mindlessly pedal away because there's no balancing involved and they give a more intensity type workout. Both have their pros and cons. Performancebike.com is a good place to look for cheap shit. I'd say get the rollers off performance for like $120.

I'm pretty sure I'm going to get a custom one as well... the price is hard to beat.
Royal blue looks really nice, too.

Wool is the fucking best...
I like to wear a wool sweater when doing road rides. The nice thing about it is it doesn't stink the next day like other material...

I think this is what you were talking about Hesh. $42 for an '07 jersey is a damn good deal.

i figure the time i could spend looking for answers online isnt worth the ridicule i would avoid
so i will just ask here: what is to stop me from riding my trainer tire on the street?
i dont foresee myself actually doing this but i was wondering. wouldnt it actually be nicer
if you were a "fixed gear freestyler," (not that i am by any means) for skids and getting that rear tire all loose.
go get it!
yes, it would be nicer if your an FSS. they're slippery and made to handle a trainer, so they'll skid for a long time. also, i'm pretty sure they have horrible traction and handling properties on the street.

good luck charms ftw.

dude, that photo was probably taken in some lame hipster town like portland or something.
ever think about not sharing your dumbass opinion?
and yes, to make things clear, i'm calling you out over the portland comment.
p.s. dan deacon is the shit.

I just watched bootleg sessions, some good technical stuff, but why not on a bmx?
because the same tricks were done 15-20 years ago on bmx.

Rock Racing's official website makes them sound like a bit of a joke. The fashionistas of pro cycling maybe... arriving in Escalades? Team kits that will bring sex appeal back to the sport? Okay...

You can get full fenders on a Kilo TT. It's really tight, and you need to run 23's for tires, but it'll work out. I just did the same on my KHS (same frame different paint/decals) and man, what a difference it makes. My feet aren't getting all soaked instantly now, and the water isn't splashing my chest anymore. Anyways, you can always run those Race Blades or whatever they're called, basically they're a half fender that clips on to the seat stay for the rear and the fork for the front. They work better than a mudflap and way better than nothing, but not as good as full fenders.
I was hoping to get a 40-60 mile ride in tomorrow... fuck, we'll see.

Fun haver, those Leader frames are way harsh for street riding IMO. Maybe if you also plan on using it at the velodrome... but yeah that fat downtube stiffens the shit out of the ride immensely.
betelgeuse, what locks were you using when your 2 bikes got stolen? The Kryptonite Evolution is a tried and true u-lock for most of the time, it's important not to go cheap with locks and get a crappy cable or no-name u-lock.
and with the KiloTT, be aware that over the course of a year you will have to replace almost every part on it except the frame. The frames themselves are good stuff. The headset and BB are garbage, as are the hubs (threading strips easy) and cog (cheapo stamped POS if i remember right).

not really man, the better stopping in the wet argument is a favorite and its straight up wrong. maybe on some beat ass huffy calipers youd win but even the lowest sora or mirage brakes will son the fuck out of some fixie bullshit. straight truth. caman, you know im right.... :D
you're probably right but still. i've ridden with the roadies in the rain and ended up getting along fine, even having to stop on a dime when someone in front got a flat. calipers stop faster in the rain but it's not that significant of a difference and obviously it depends on a bunch of different factors on both sides of the equation. if someone has to put their balls to the stem to skid... all bets are off. joker is right on the disc brake thing though, i would never debate that.
idk hesh, you're still goign to go and talk shit for getting hit by some lady. i ride a bike through most weather, almost every day in the winter and absolutely every day in the other seasons, it's simple probability that someone isn't paying attention somewhere down the road.

you're beating a dead horse now.

Yeah, i dont think i can read that all and keep my sanity.
i have a friend who worked for the church of scientology. he was born into it. i haven't seen or heard from him since graduating high school, and neither has his half brother. kid said he was "going to florida" to study with the church.
it's a cult.
