iodine turns blue/black when it comes into contact with starch so anything you write on that has starch in it eg. wood should look pretty nice. Other stuff just gets stained yellowy brown but im not sure how good a stain it is. I added some to some ink batches i made and i couldnt tell if it made any difference....

does anybody know anything about ferrous sulphate or vandyke crystals? And oink, im gonna wait until your purple comes out and ive got a bit of cash together and then ill order something later this summer.

im a little bit confused and would just like a few things cleared up.. Potassium permanganate, Gentian violet, Methylene blue: can you stir them directly into your ink mixtures or do you have to dissolve them into water first? If you need to dissolve them into water, how would you reccomend doing it? By dissolving say, 1g in as little water as possible and then adding that to the mix? thanks in advance for any help... EDIT: oink if i bought a bunch of ink from you would you ship to UK?
