  1. and getting hit in the fucking nose. My nose must be made of steel for the amount of times I've had a ball thrown into my face. So I just got back from playing basketball for the first time in many months. Goddamn am I out of shape. It's amazing how much you lose when recovering from an injury. Years of sports and six months away from it and I've turned into every other shitty person who can't take more than two games at a time... Fuck this. Getting back into shape now. Basketball every day, ninety+ degree weather. I'll be back into it in no time. Anyone else have a sudden shock as to how out of shape they are lately? ps. fuck wisdom teeth... pps. The last five minutes of the finals last night were brilliant. But this series has sucked so far. hardcore.
  2. 19, bout to enter my junior year of college. tryin to figure out what the fuck im gonna do next.
  3. good to hear from ya shai. was on soulseek the other day and wondered what you were up to. <--shape, by the way. anywho, good luck with things.

its funny. i see your stuff sometimes at hampshire when you visit your boy. and then i see the other dudes stuff when i come home to houston. i dig what you did on the wall at my school. keep it goin if your around again.
  5. no limit used to play basketball at the Y i used to go to. silk is a horrible shot.
  6. dawwod, it always makes me happy when you bring up the five percenters.
  7. Re: Great Pictures~ 2008 olympics, gonna blow china the fuck up...
  8. Re: An Inconvient Truth so i went to his slide show presentation in houston last night. met him as well. the meeting was rather as i expected. im sure he didn't remember me from adam after about thirty seconds from when i walked away. either way. the presentation was absolutely astounding. i haven't seen the film, but my mom said everything in the film was in the slideshow, but that he does more in the presentation. he was extremely articulate, funny, and empassioned. he responded that he is in no way seeking the presidency again. and that he is doing more good outside of the political process. i encourage everyone to see this film, and to force anyone else to. if we dont solve this it is because of our own collective ignorance. I have been trying to believe that we can work together as a global society to make it happen, but i just dont have that much faith in humanity...
  9. the way i understand deism is that the unfolding of the universe is god. not so much in an omnipotent entity, but that we are expressions of his infinite nature.
  10. Mams, have you looked into deism much? I think the way that you present your conceptions of what god may be tends rather closely to the form of god presented within spinoza's ethics.
  11. Re: An Inconvient Truth indeed. forgot that one.
  12. david hume, and kant resolved this back in the day. also look to quinne, duhem and others for your issues of theories. yes, all facts and laws are theories that we use to model the world. but in so much as that applies to issues of causality, we resolved that quite a while ago. Dawoods statement about the sun rising is quite perfect as it is the same analogy that many philosophers concerned with causality used. The main thing being, that because we have no reason to not believe in the connectivity of causality and that our perspective is based on such, it is all we can ascribe to. Skepticism for such is sort of useless.
  13. Re: An Inconvient Truth i refer to the post above yours.
  14. e-whatchugondo? lets see big papi let loose on the rocket in interleague play... aint gonna happen...
  15. man with the answers- oh i know they are, i go to school in mass. thus my feelings.
  16. Re: An Inconvient Truth he has been doing the lecture circuit, starting an investment firm called Blood & Gore, and maintaining positions on various executive boards across the country. he wasn't like this on the presidential campaign cus there aren't any pollsters and strategists informing him of how this or that desicion will affect his chances at being a president. his position towards climate control and environmentalism has alienated him from a favorable mainstream political position before. it is no suprise that this wasn't the major crux nor a position of confidence during that campaign.
  17. all you guys are getting on him for the semantics of how he listed his shit. in so much as want vs need. to reduce it to that level we only need food and a place to sleep. anything beyond that is a "want." if homey is plannin to buy an m3 because he wants to drive fast, then good lord, let the kid want to get a m3. its not like he said i need it right now. he even stated it in a manner of planning. that 3000 dollar insurance is what got me, thats harsh...
  18. i tried to post lastnight but computer crashed. 1.87 era for last season. washed up i think not. the reason for working through the developement leagues is to spend a month progressing not only his body but mind back into a state of professional competitive play. his contract was pro-rated across the remaining months of the season, eventually totalling roughly 12.5 mil. and for the man with the answers.... i hope you realize that the red sox are merely the yankees transplanted in another city. go spend your money on some other pitcher. but yeah... houston... doin so well... i went to the game the other day where we lost in the eleventh? yeah, that was fun.
  19. well im glad that i found out i was an idiot. thanks porkchop.
  20. and dawood, for an expression of skepticism towards causality, look at david hume. also, after that Kant developed the transcendental argument as a validation of casuality and the geometric interpretation of reality. that stuff is pretty interesting.
  21. in so much as we construct what is ordered through the lens of an emperical epistemology, yes there is order to the universe, even in chaos. that is to say if we ascribe to certain sets of statements, eg mathematics, than we can find specific patterns in chaos. also, in so much as we choose to model our perspective in the universe through these set concepts, eg mathematics, then any valid statements we develope from the logical framework contained within, eg chaos theory, is automatically validated for it was constructed from nothing but valid statements and can be validated through the concept itself. im a lil stoned so that came out a lil dense.
  22. mehh, they do a damn good job of making people pissed off. i was thinkin more so in their ability to mobalize people. it was just a joke really.
  23. i think we also need a musical background to the revolution, RATM will do nicely thank you.
  24. im at work at the moment but i have some stuff for you guys when i get home. as a teaser. villian- i agree, but i think the claim of life from impact is still rather debated. dawood- check out chaos theory, like villian said, also look at something called the poissan distrobution. it is a principle that dictates that within given sample of data there is a way to adequately measure and predict a specific pattern within that data. blah....more to come.
  25. i just wanna clear up that people can be athiest and still accept that they could be wrong. I am an athiest in so much as i whole heartedly believe there is no god, but I accept that I may be wrong. i wasnt disagreeing with anything you said russel, just clarifying. the way you put it at the end is quite nice actually. i like that quite a bit.
