just bought tix home for the weekend. got 'em cheaper than i expected. mom starts chemo this week. ugh... anybody feel like giving a sympathy lay? i could really use it... working full time w/ full time school SUCKS. school from 7-12, work from 3-11 or 12... aaaaaaaaah. and no full days off. its not like i'm missing a social life or anything... i'm in an asian cuisine class now. awesome chef and good food. i swear everything is done ass-backwards to western technique, but it tastes good so its okay. listening to DELTRON 3030. gonna go get my paycheck today! bitches. that's gonna go right to my celly bill which i went over by 145 minutes........ good work me. yep...

hey hulud, you should try and find a product called "field roast." i don't know where you can find them on the coast, but they're WA based, so i'm sure its around. we had it in colorado. best meat substitute i've found. along w/ quorn. excellent products. taste and texture are superior to any others around. if you think tofurky is good, you will come when you try these... anywho... apparently i was supposed to fill out fafsa like 2 weeks ago and my school didn't let me know and so now they're not giving me money... fuckers. hopefully they don't kick me out of school, that could be cumbersome. mom's not doing very well. at all. i'm going home in a couple weeks, that'll be good for the family, but it will be a fucking stressed weekend. started designing my stomach piece a couple days ago. i'm excited to get a bigger piece done on me. /\/\as far as guac goes, simple is better, i feel. a lot of people add a ton of stuff like cayenne and coriander or sour cream or onion. classically its just gonna be salt and pepper w/ avocado mashed up. i prefer it w/ a bit of cayenne myself. EXPIREMENT

shai--DUNE is one of my favorite books, and my initial appeal to the band. so yeah... my SN in a different (non-12oz)universe was MAKER, if reference to the worms as well. the band is (esoterically speaking) extremely different from most hardcore. they're kind of bastards of hardcore yeah. i do need to get out more... its just, i live in the tenderloin and don't really know that many people out here who's company i enjoy, and have had shit luck meeting people. my social life consists of calling the crew back home... thats my story. trying to work on a report for school. a joke. but it will still take a couple of hours of my life. fuckers... hammerfall is good...

respect for what they did in influencing the music i do enjoy, but not my thing...

i just glanced at a few of the pages. couple points of advice i was given, and some of my own: fills: for now while your form is as weak as it is, keep it extremely simple, 1 or 2 colors. by throwing in waves and everything you're just "aggravating" the form that you have. one solid color allows you to focus on the form (which is, i feel, the most vital part of graf--more than fills, color schemes, etc). good form, even w/ a bad fill can be respected. wack form and wack fills can only be dissed. form: i think everyone who gets into graf starts with dreams of being the next saber (or respective era-great), so they try to do a lot w/ forms, pushing what the letter is. that comes in time. for now, KEEP IT SIMPLE. i'm saying take an arial font and use it. study it. examine every point of the letter. SANS SERIF. NO FLARE. just the absolute necessary parts that make the letter. play w/ thickness of the lines--outline as well. the more you make, the better you will understand where the strengths of each letter is. my early books i dedicated pages to each letter of the alphabet. (more about this on my biting point) 3d--keep it simple for now. focus on form... biting/studying--yeah yeah, everybody thinks they're too good to bite. good. keep that attitude, but you've been doing this for 3 months and you plan on mastering this art w/o emulating the masters? be real about it, be honest. admit when you're doing it, but do it! find a piece you really like, and copy it exactly (don't trace) but do your best to transfer all the lines onto your page. "feel" each curve, feel each piece of flare as it comes from the base form. a lot of this comes in time, but its okay, you'll develop style in a year or two, for now you don't have it, so use somebody else's. find exercises which allow you to understand positive flowing forms. *i'm sure somebody's gonna be pissed about this comment... suck it. just keep trying to understand what is happening on your piece. best advice--ALWAYS DRAW. don't stop. do it whenever you can. just doodle. draw waves and curves and circles. work w/ perspective points. discover what is appealing to the eye. study other art forms--modern art offers a lot of curve and angle specific ideas. tear through a black book in a month, come back to that book in 6 months and redo the sketches--see if you can accomplish what you were trying to create now w/ new skills. i think i'm just rambling at this point, but i think there is some nuggets of knowledge in this rant.

clarification: trial is about the oldest hardcore i enjoy right now. i'm well aware of the 20 years of hc before them... and i know its dead. i blame poison the well and makeoutclub...

no, i've got plenty to do. just really not feeling life. nothing is inspiring to me as of late. lots of personal shit/pain going on. years of misanthropy coming to boil over i guess. a hatred of humanity founded in a hatred for myself? something like that... lonely as well. i've found no kids to call "crew" like i've got back home. i guess its just life...

i would pay to throw rocks at minor threat... ian is not sober anymore, and good for him... i'd wanna see judge or trial, thats about it for old hardcore. integrity, early earth crisis, botch (again), the 90s era hardcore is where i'd be more stoked... i'd like to see 18visions on the 'best of' tour again. that was an amazing show. i'd also like to see another victim and path of resistance. i don't listen to hardcore.
