  1. Of course he made no sense. Earlier he called me "ignorant" for saying Canada benefits from the U.S. economy. He said other than American tourists going there to spend money, Canada doesn't benefit from the U.S.... even though over 80% of exports and nearly 70% of imports for Canada are two and from the U.S., and that Canada makes 1.5 billion A DAY from imports and exports to and from the U.S... that dude is a joke.
  2. You're "rebelling" because you've stated that the "law" is "one-sided," indicating that you are not happy with the law itself and the system. You are indiscriminately against all cops and you lump cops along with "armed men" and criminals. Therefore, you have a rebellious view against the way things are. And you are an idiot -- I didn't say he wasn't "defending" himself simply because the guy is a cop and a police dog. I said he wasn't defending himself because he was only stopped for a routine traffic violation, and, if he has never done anything wrong (unlikely), he could've just taken the ticket and kept driving. Instead, he hopped out the car with a shotgun and took off running and you're actually baffled that a cop with a dog would chase him down. Once you pull out a shotgun you can no longer claim self-defense by law. He initiated the chase. He got chased AFTER his decision to run with the shotgun. He didn't get chased while sitting in the car. How hard is this for you to understand. Again, what alternate universe are you living in where cops don't chase fugitives with guns? I mean, obviously you're outraged by this cop doing his job. The situation with a military person after bin Laden is different because that's during war or a military conflict, which both parties are aware of. Obviously it's going to be one "side" trying to take out the "other." Has nothing to do with getting stopped for a traffic violation, when the officer never was in a predetermined armed "war" with the person he stopped. When I get stopped I don't think I'm at "war" and I don't expect the cop to blast me for making an illegal left turn. You are the master of comparing apples and oranges.
  3. It wasn't about how balanced the economic distribution was. I'm pretty sure the elite rich and upper-middle benefit the most in Canada, just as they do in pretty much every country in the world. I was simply saying that Canada's economy in general benefits from trade with the U.S.... refuting what "--->" was saying that Canada doesn't benefit except for a few tourists "spending money." If you are bordering the nation with the world's largest economy, of course you're going to benefit. And yes, it does trickle down into the lower class of Canadians because things like energy fuels, food, consumer products, and pretty much everything else that most people use goes to and from Canada through the U.S.
  4. i'm glad what marbury is doing. hopefully it will cause other athletes to do the same with their shoes. kids in the hood shouldn't be spendin all that money on shoes and robbin dudes over shoes. i remember some white guy on espn talk radio called in and said he would never allow his son to wear a stephon marbury shirt because he's a "thug." my question is why is he a thug? what "thug" act has he done? yeah, he doesn't smile all the time and he has tattoos -- so what? he comes from an environment that molded him to not be all giggly. but i never known of marbury to be a trouble maker.
  5. i can't wait. gore should've won in 2000. kerry should've won in '04. hopefully by now that small percentage of americans that still supported bush have woken up and will cause the democrats to control congress. there has been too much criticism of republicans and their war in iraq and the time is now.
  6. Wow, you really are an idiot. The US is Canada's biggest trade partner, generating billions for the Canadian economy. 81% of exports and 67% imports for Canada go to and from the United States. Canada generates about 1.5 billion US dollars per day because of the United States. And you're gonna ask how the U.S. benefits Canada. You're a fucking moron.
  7. i get free health care cuz i served in the military. true everyone in the u.s. doesn't get free health care but i think if you're in the government or worked for the military u get it.
  8. pretty much. canada is like that self-righteous kid at school that cowardly has someone do all his "dirty work" and reaps all the benefits while hypocritically condemning that "dirty work." canada benefits greatly from the u.s. economy. yeah the u.s. benefits from canada but not as much as they other way around. as far of lack of wars/violence, it's been only a few decades since quebec had that violent uprising and tried to secede from this "morally great" canada.
  9. i had a similar instance. from 9/11 and the several months following i was watching/reading the news pretty much everyday. i do remember in the 2 weeks following 9/11 i was in like a trance. i just remember the u.s. being at "peace" prior to 9/11 and i thought it would be like that for quite sometime. how wrong i was. i remember them mentioning in the news in about june or july of 2001 that bin laden was planning to strike "u.s. interests." it was assumed it would be a U.S. installation in the Gulf region. after a couple months of nothing happening i figured bin laden wasn't serious.
  10. clinton was a smart man. a lot better than the current one. clinton was very articulate where as the current guy is just on some straightforward cowboy type shit
  11. thanks for the pic. dude you should beat!
  12. never heard of a dumb asian. you should at least hit it. got a pic?
  13. i was thinking about that. how somalia didn't have a government (or doesn't, not sure if they eventually got one). it was total anarchy in mogadishu. the only people that controlled the the country were roving bands of gangs. there was no mayor, no fire department, no cops, no hospitals, no city government and no schools. murders and rapes were rampant. mogadishu makes compton look like bel air. children getting abducted and no one knowing about it or giving a fuck. i think murder was the number one cause of death for a time period there. that or famine.
  14. you could very well be the luckiest man on earth.
