MOst everyone agrees that immigration reform is needed, its just the way of going about it that is being contested and what to do with the undocumented immigrants that are already here. And to whoever brought up the fact of why some people are avoiding using the word illegals... the act is illegal not the person. If someone is an "illegal" for performing an illegal act, then all of us here are illegals....

Thats sucks... sorry to hear it. Back in the day my roommate got his car stolen by some crackhead who worked his way into our apartment through our other (naive) roommate.... just came in a step, but grabbed some keys unnoticed. So he wrote the car off as good as gone. About 6 months later we go to some hotel party and we see his car sitting ouside of the room where we are going. We figured someone we knew may have took it.. we are about to set up a liitle survellance and ambush type deal when I notice the tire is flat and the car has been sitting there for a while... turns out his car had been stolen taken on a 10 mile drive and ditched and then sat there for 6 months... no damage besides the tire. so all hope is not lost....

i'm saying....

I didn't present a theory. Just pointing out that kicking out all of the illegal immigrants, raising wages and giving benifits isn't a viable solution. Most people are not willing to do these jobs at minimum wages and people and businesses aren't willing to pay increased prices to support fair labor practices. Working at Ford for 50k a year is a far cry from picking fruit for 13,000 (minimun wage).
