i dont know what effects it has on colors, but paint thinner/nail poish remover will take it off in a heartbeat.

I washed a shirt that had a piece of gum in the pocket once. It left this oily residue on my shirt, even after I got the gum off. If it's mushed in, you may as well consider it ruined.

use an ice cube and rub that all over it and just work it out with your fingers while keeping the gum really cold.

get a dog. the bigger the better. great dane, rott. whatever. have em piss on your leg. get it super wet with all the amonia. then go ahead and get em hard. let em hump your leg and work out the gum. if you stupid enough to get gum on your gear then you stupid enough to get pissed on and let a big ass dog hump ya' shit. if were lucky youll get flicks and poste em.

wait till it gets cold enough, wet the garment and hang it over a railing or something overnite...the next day you'll have a frozen garment sculpture the shape it was left in when you hung it out to freeze......
