My friends all rock with Turtleboxes, they synch them up for surround sound at the beach. T4M* Posted January 23 Author Share Posted January 23 I noticed name brands that make portable/mobile speakers took away some of the Input Slots that some people still use: The input are: *SD Cards *USB Drives *RCAs I was asked to search a speaker with those inputs and found this: If you notice the digital screen, most products that have that are the cheap shit. This one comes in at $115, with a bunch of tuning stuff. It has been ordered. If you are looking for something cheap, but want the product to still shine, spend about $100-$150. So far, I have been lucky with other products at that range. I bought two speakers like this for a quick DJ and the $350 some speakers (2) did all right and they were loud. Sold them, and upgraded. The Speaker is a 15" with Tweeter. Can be chained to any other speaker. It is rechargeable, comes with wheels/handle. It is being used for a small application, but this thing is ment for parties: I don't expect the Bass to be all that. Everything else should be dead on. I will be upgrading my Alpine Subwoofer with a Skar one some time. At the moment, I'm fixing this box and applying vynal to make it more sturdy. The receiver is only fancy with the multiple inputs and maybe EQ features. Seems alright, pretty small. I didn’t even hook the big speakers up yet. Just set them on the stands. Had some other shit I had to do. I’ll check everything out tomorrow when I have more time. That was given to me a long time ago and I had never used it. Saved me trip to the store. Just hooked the speakers up and they are dope. Bluetooth capability is awesome. LUGR Posted March 16 Share Posted March 16 Hmmmmm…..need help with EQ and levels. Cant get them to sound right with the turntables. Sounds pretty hollow. Any pointers on where my settings should be? Bluetooth sounds fine. Spent some time messing with it….. I think I need to run RCA from mixer master output into Line In on the back of the speaker. Probably noob problems. I tried pressing EQ earlier and it didn’t seem to do anything, but directions did say it had some preset EQ’s. Can you school me a bit on EQ settings? The directions for speakers say to not set volumes over 75%. Have bass and treble on back of speakers and bass, treble and mods on mixer also. I always just set them by ear but don’t really know if I am maximizing the sound. Also have master volume, gain and the vertical volume slide for each channel on the mixer.
