Rollin up to North Ave beach where you can buy beer so I can have one before I go swim and as I pull up to lock my bike up next to the 800 other bikes that are there, and no fucking shit- there is my bike that was stolen last month. I couldn't fucking believe it. I took MY Kryptonite and locked the bike so if scum came back, the bike wasn't going anywhere. I went and got the cops that were around the corner and told them the story and they were all about helping me get my ride back. Trust me, I was ready to physically murder whoever came back for (My) bike but with that many people around, all anyone would remember is me merkin this asshole. I had to get proof I owned the bike so I went to kinkos and printed the pics I had so luckily emailed myself that had clear images of the bike, the serial number, etc... Come back and the cops are amazed that it actually IS my bike and I had found it. Kid eventually rolls up and I say, " Nice bike br0." He says thanks and I ask him how long he's owned it (as the police are walking up behind the asshole) and he says 2 months. Police grab his bag, ask him where he got the bike and NOW he plays dumbass and says it's NOT HIS FUCKING BIKE!!! Since I can't prove he actually stole my bike they said I could press charges that were unfortunately minor, or let him go. Since they told me where he lived, I decided I had my bike and his address, and let him go. Either way, I got my fucking bike back!!!
