bad_news
margarine. easier on the arteries. You couldn't be more wrong. Trans fats are the worst for you. It would be more healthy to consume straight animal lard before margarine.
Theo Huxtable.
really? all margarine has trans fat? i checked my fridge, and on the back it says 0 grams of trans fat. but it says it's a "spread". i guess i should've said spread instead i do remember a story on the news back in the day downplaying the myth that margarine was better for you than butter. VAJ
I just realized that I totally meant hydrogenized. Not homo.
Theo Huxtable.
i figured. yeah the partially-hydrogenated shit = trans fatty acids be careful to read the labels. did you know they can list "0 grams of trans fat" even if it has some? the FDA says if it's less than .5 grams per serving, then the company can list it as 0. so check for the ingredients that says "hydrogenated" or "partially-hydrogenated" to make sure. i think that's bullshit though. say each serving is .4 grams of trans fat, and you've had 5 servings thinking you haven't consumed any trans fat.
