It is practised around the world, by all ages, sexes and creeds.The World Gurning Contest takes place annually in the tiny town of Egremont in the Northwest of England and, to the best of anybody’s knowledge, has done so ever since 1267.But this year there are rumblings. Glamorous BBC-presenter Michaela Strachan will be taking part in the ladies competition. Surely, she can't stop 23 time winner, Anne Woods from regaining the top spot?
