yomommasaho Posted September 11, 2007 Share Posted September 11, 2007 very true. and one of the emit pieces here reminds me of some of ges's 2001 shit, so the influences are obvious. while some of these older 90's pieces im finding kind of dated, im relating it to watching classic films from like the 30's; where these days, a film like citizen kane may not blow away some of the younger set, yet one must appreciate how at the time it was revolutionary. some of these pieces now look kinda awkward compared to some of the skill cats these days have evolved, but i can still appreciate how they were the shit at the time (and even now have exceeded their past) and im lovin the color combos on these old crest pieces. so props all around, enough to share. The one he did at the Acme wall in New Haven with Kaws had that same style.. His new work is real dope.. But to me, I'll alwawy love those complex technological fillins..
