GUMBALLS ARE ONE SIZE. where your 15 different size gumballs would have a problem when half em wouldnt fit out that hole on the side of your S. *aces* Posted February 28, 2007 Share Posted February 28, 2007 CRITS: DANK - Lose all your arrows man...Trust me, until you learn to use them right they won't look good in the least...And you got pretty good structure to your letters so you're on your way but keep with simples which means no arrows and other shit like that...Also your letters are all connecting which is not a great idea at the moment...It never works out until you know what you're doing and it should just be left alone until you are a lot better... KNIM - Yo man lose the connections from one letter to the next and then go to a simple more block style lettering...I can see that you have probably already worked on it and then just decided you were ready to go to wilds straight from there...There has to be a transition area though...Keep workin simples my man... REBOK - Dude you seem to have gotten some of the bare basics of simples but then you started taking bits and pieces of others styles (as we all do) but you were making all the letters have a different style...On the first sketch for example: The K has a lot of curves...The R has sharp angles...The E is really small and has that bottom thing going straight down...The O is like a box that collapsed in on itself and only has 3 sides now...Keep your style consistent throughout the piece Alright I figured that I'd share the development of my style because nobody knows who I am on this site or where I started out and all that…So here it goes…It’s from longest time ago, 10 months ago, to today’s biology class… 1st name (SKAE) Battle (JUNE) Battle (SPOKE copied from a MS word font) 2nd name (KAOS) Completely biting a style…I’m ashamed…3rd name (ACES) Started doing simples 4th name (PACE) Still sticking to simples 5th name(MAC) GOT 2 MORE POSTS SO PLEASE DON'T POST UNTIL I AM DONE... I sketch for fun and to relax and to let out some creativity. i do argree those connections are kinda wack. i was goin off memory from this cause i wanted to play around with some simple fills. 2. why do u change names so much? And some more crits: AIMO - The A and the I are looking really good...The M is pretty nice and the O looks a lot like a D...I don't like the elasticos but that bear/squirrel is pretty cool...I changed my mind...The A is all good except for the fact that it has a face instead of a hole... KNIM - I understand where you're coming from that you think it does nothing but I never said do ONLY simples all I'm saying is you should work on them...It greatly improves letter structure...Your K looks barely like a K but when you focus on the structure of the letters when doing simples then that K will probably start to get nicer and nicer until it's a dope K... I changed my names so much because when I changed my styles I couldn't adapt it to some letters in the other name...I now can so I started going to KESAR and am staying with it for as long as possible now...
