I read one of banksys books "wall and piece" according to him/his publicist he used to write but had a run in with the cops and saw stencil style under a truck where he was hiding and decided that stencils was his way of becoming faster and less risk of getting caught. reguardless of if its stencils or not he's put in work and got a lot of G illegal spots.
