The city would not spend the money to buff something that's been there for so long to create a sting for netting writers. This is just a general "clean up the eyesores" campaign. It happens all the time, and it's a shame that both the Saber and I believe the MTA roller are gone now. But that's all there is to it, the buff is just another aspect of graffiti. Every time I drive on the 110 I try to catch the Saber piece but today I was amazed at the bull shit I saw. A giant fucking grey square in it's place and the shitty stuff around it was untouched.
