one thing that i cant stand latley about graffiti is 3D on peices. i was thinking about it, and a shadow just shows the sillouette of the peice after its been raised off of the paper, so to speak- but when it comes to 3D, theres a whole differant story. when you look at a peice straight on, youre not going to see any 3D because there isnt any angle so technically to get a veiw of the 3D you have to tilt the peice. but what ive realized is that this should severly affect the perspecticve of the peice because once you take the peice as a whole and tilt it, you put it on a plane with a vanishing point which shouolod give it depth and perspective. this never happens. all the letters always end up being drawn facing straight ahead. it just doesnt look right to me anymore.

i am most likley the only person in the universe to be bothered my this, but its just whats crossed my mind latley.

that is what seperates traditional graff from 3d graff(as in 3 point perspective). my take on it is that when graffiti first took off the writers werent artists, their priority was the shape of the face of the letters so therefore this didnt cross their mind. with the 3 point perspective, 3d shit...thats what artists are into that usually dont care about the letter structure as much as the correct way to visualize an object.

myself, i have an art background and understand the rules of perspective but from the start i was more drawn to the traditional graff...so its not that i dont know about this "glitch", i simply choose to ignore it, in favour of...call it, tradition.
