possible spoilers

I saw it two nights ago, good stuff!

There's some great dark humour (like killing the cook)

and Johnny Depp is perfect for the role. I had a few issues

with the infered plot though. It just seemed like there were

way too many parties with too many agendas and it was hard to

tell who was crossing who. If the plot lines got any looser before

Rodriguez tightened them up I think about half of the audience

would have been lost.

And I have a hard time with 'bad-guy-sympathy'.

I mean Johnny Depp's character was clearly a bad buy

but because he gets f'ked over by even bigger bad guys,

most people assume that he was good. Bad guys get screwed too,

that doesn't mean they need our sympathy or forgiveness. anyways...

The look was great considering it was all shot on HighDef.

Then only spot where it looked like video was in the Government

building when guys were flipping over the railings. Too crisp for film.

But some of the cut work for the action scenes was straight up dope!

(like the guy getting hit by the car).

so my final thoughts.... a fun movie but only worth a rental.

good point -rage-

that was too funny when he tells the kid to 'go away, fuck off'.

The flick did have that classic mistake of a character being able to

understand english sometimes, but not other times.

thought this movie was great and i thought Johnny Depp did a great job in a great role. the action was good, but it was indeed a little long.

It was a fun movie, but I'm seriously disappointed. Kilo said all that had to be said... it was a huge mess, disorganized plot, too many characters. Furthermore, there is little in the movie that ties in to the previous two... so it doesn't really matter if you've seen them at all. Some of the stunts were a little cliché and overboard (why the hell is it that random bad guys always appear on dirt bikes?), Rodriguez seems heavily swayed by all the stuff he learned/did for the "Spy Kids" franchise. Plus, all the spanish-spoken parts were SO BADLY scripted/acted it made me cringe uncontrollably.

Johnny Depp and tons of people getting run over hardcore saved this movie. I was expecting a lot more. C+/B-

Our intent on tonight was to see it. But do to laziness we didnt check any times. So when we got there the The Desperato movie with Johnny Depp in it didnt start for another hour so we saw Matchstick Men. It was pretty good. Had a hell of a twist.
