They’re pretty fly on foot . 99% of the time I wear my black Levi’s Skate jeans (501’s - got em in black/shades of blue) with a clean black or white tee .
Sometimes I’ll rock Stan Ray’s or dickies (blacked out ofc) for bottoms and throw on a black hoody or my black Patagonia jacket if it’s real cold out . I usually stick with simple monochrome fits , don’t really wear logo tees unless they’re clean and minimalistic or a homies brand .
Just gotta let the kicks be the crux of your fit and they are an awesome look .
Definitely the wildest shoe I have but I love it so much !
Made up my mind on the J1’s - gonna cop the Shadow’s . Super hyped ~

September pickups :
AM1 Anniversary Edition (original AM1 colorway from 30 years ago)
AM1 Centre Pompidou Pack (colorways inspired by day / night look of the Pompidou centre in France - building that gave tinker Hatfield inspiration to expose the air bubble cushion in the sole)
Nike x CDG Nighttrack (will swap the glitter laces for the jet black alternates they came with - gonna rock these during wedding season/fancy dinners)
Yeezy Boost 350 creams (ridiculously comfy , possibly the comfiest shoe I’ve copped in years but these feel like something someone from Tron would wear , don’t think I can pull them off but I’m glad I got the pair for my collection)
Last but not least , shoe of the year for me , Nike SB x Humidity Skateshop Dunk Hi “Trumpets” (will wear em without the bow tie / possibly with the black alternate laces)
Next pair will 100% be another Trumpet dunk so I can have a pair on ice ? . not rocking the ones I got til I get that second pair in , just so I can stock the nicer of the two
After that I plan on venturing into Jordan 1 territory with either the J1 Shadow , Black Yin Yang or Triple Blacks . Will report back with news from that expedition

my bday’s on thanksgiving again this year and my uncle wants us to fly over to NYC . He offered to pay for our tickets+let us stay at his place in Long Island . . fingers crossed , will find out tomorrow .

^my favorite skate shoe of the last decade . No BS vulc shoe with great board feel / cushioning+sole . got a black/white pair I’m skating atm !
ordered some crep protect earlier today to spray onto new shoes as a shield , never used the stuff so I’m hoping it does the trick . I’m gonna try out a bottle of that moneysworth as well - I’m pretty OCD with keeping non-skate shoes fresh & clean , toothbrush and warm soapy water doesn’t always work lol

Piano lessons to children of wealthy folk in Orange County , what I charge depends on what you drive . Locked in a weekly gig for a family that had a brand new Maybach sitting on the driveway of their posh Newport Beach mansion - $85/hour to turn their baby girl into a pseudo pop Star ⭐️ . . “Alright now try this Becky , read this newspaper out loud and play these chords at the same time” . (If the kid takes it serious I do too , usually they don’t)
Just completed my first resale of sneakers yesterday - pretty great feeling ! Made a cool chunk of cash , the apps I use take 9/9.5% and Paypal takes 2.9% for a total of ~13% . Made $120 on the flip , subtract the 13% in fees and I pocketed $104 . 90% of the work was done while I was taking a shit , the other 10% was printing the free shipping label that was sent to me and then a 5 min bike ride to the UPS store down the street .

last two of the three songs (2nd with Teyana Taylor/3rd with Kid Cudi/070 shake) were pretty cool , first one with the lil pump (wearing costumes) was whack .
live performance was definitely better than expected . . gotta wait on the album now , fingers crossed !

Late Registration / College Dropout / Graduation all released while I was in HS .
I remember arguing with schoolmates about who was the king of hip hop at the time - usually ended up defending him vs weezy . To me he was the king of my generation .
Haven’t listened to 808 & Heartbreaks / MBDTF / Yeezus / Life of Pablo / Ye outside of catching snippets on the radio or from friends .
Decided to give his SNL performance a listen when it premiers tonight - assuming he’s going to do the new stuff . I don’t expect this body of work to be crafted by the same mind who cooked up those first three albums , but damn man . . Hoping I can at least back his music again .
If the albums not a complete letdown ima buy my first pair of yeezys on Wednesday - after I (most probably) take a L on SNKRS/online raffles for the ow blazers I’m tryna cop to resell .
Anyways , Paul wall’s verse on here is too dope . Melancholy memories when I hear this

It’s pretty sad . . grew up on soulquarian / native tongue ish and really dug late 90s/2000s hip hop in general . .
lil Wayne inadvertently birthed all of this shit , I dug the carter 1+2 but then other people kinda took it one step further over the past ~five years and it became some weird druggy shtick (whisper/mumble) that everyone emulates .
there is always good stuff floating around , it’s just not on the radio or as accessible as per usual .
There’s this huge influx of jazz kids getting into hip hop and hip hop heads getting into jazz , which is causing some really dope shit (unavoidably some whack shit is also flooding the scene now - jazz kids holding two chords and all of a sudden they’re a hip hop band , hip hoppers thinking pretty chords/crazy fast lines that they sample is the only+best jazz) .
Hate it when I hear someone who was dissing rap / hip hop ten years ago talk about how dope mf doom is now lol . They’ll be off it as soon as the hype dies down and hop back on when it’s convenient .
A return to jazz hop is a breath of fresh air & hip hops last hope imo - as long as it’s done properly with people who understand/respect both genres .
Check out Robert Glasper + Terrace Martin . their super group (R+R=Now) just played @ the Fonda here in LA on Monday night . They had rappers/neo soul singers + herbie Hancock showed up and played for a bit
