This should be retitled to The 5 Stupidest Habits You Develop Growing Up Poor In The Developed World In the under-developed world it would be more like: Bathe once a month if you can find water without visible life forms swimming in it Eat food that has been cooked in oil that has been recycled and used for the last 18 months, which you bought on the street from some one with even less money than you Eat food with cardboard mixed in to it to stop the pain in your stomach for a few hours develop bladder infections that you can't afford medicine for after using underwear that was worn by three people before yourself Die in winter. I've witnessed all of these things and I fucking hate it because now I can't bring myself to laugh at poverty any more. Stupid poor people, ruin everything.

Nah, don't worry about that, thanks anyway, mate. It was my choice to get in on this knowing that I live at the end of the earth. I just needed to do some complainin. Fuck Australia post. The online calculator is about as accurate as a blind man with a shotgun. Not only that but it forgets to mention that I have to pay a $10 surcharge to send to the US. With the cost of sending, the envelope and surcharge it's about USD$40 per item. So I can tell you, at $520 for this book if it goes missing, think about this. I come to the US at least twice a year for work, I have 2 years worth of holidays saved up and everyone's address is obtainable in this deal. And I'm a real vengeful and resourceful kind of guy with a military background. Next issue is that with Australia Post in their awesomeness their tracked mail only tracks in Australia. Not only can I not track it in the US but it's another $15 but it won't even go to the receiver's house, he has to go to the post office to collect it. Unfuckingbelievable. So, on a brighter note, mine has been mailed (photographic evidence, the best proof I could come up with on the spot is being sent to Butters) and I'm ready to burn!!

I see those digital picture frames they sell these days where you can have hundreds of digital pics rotating through on a slide show and I picture one as big as a TV in my living room full of old school NY subway pics, pretty much this thread, on my wall at home every day.

You know, I'm really glad I grew up without the internet. When I was a kid and I did something stupid maybe some friends would see, maybe even a bunch of kids at school might see. Now with youtube and facebook when kids do something stupid and embarrassing the whole fucking world sees it, over and over, forever. When I have a kid, they'll hate me for not letting them post shit about themselves of the net but when older they'll thank me with all their heart.

Not sure that sending from the east coast of the US to the east coast of Australia is the best way to go. GOGP should be sending across the Atlantic, alts sending to me and then me to the West coast of the US. If that's doable anyway. Not sure what the costs are though, I must have missed it if that data has been discussed.

Two questions: - Where is NC - Did we work out if it's cheaper for GOGP to send to AUS or UK and for Alts to send to AUS or US? For me the cost is about the same.

Not that I don't trust an anonymous username on a forum based around criminal activity, or anything, but don't we only have to pass addresses on to the people that we are sending/receiving with? I gather we decided to go with the original plan of always sending/receiving with the same people in one circular motion with GOGP sending OS and people slipping him a few quid here and there to diffuse the cost of mailing out from the US as much as possible, right?

Most of the time I couldn't give a shit what anyone else does as I'm too interested just doing what I do. However, once every now and then some one comes along that makes me want to jump in the internet and fucking strangle them.
