yea, I will take it for a ride see how it is, but like you say it is mainly communting and light offroad stuff I will be doing, nothing really gnarly or anything. I will probably get the mountain bike and then save up for a road bike, if I really start riding hard again.

I think I spoke about this before, but I used to ride a lot of mountain bikes and road as well. I havent really ridden in about 10 years. I have signed up for the bike to work scheme here in the uk and have £700 to spend, now my problem is road bike or mountain bike. As it will be used a lot for getting to work in all weather I am thinking mountain bike (also easier for doing stuff with the family) but I also want to ride a lot and there are some good hills etc around where I live, so that makes me want a road bike. I am limited to what I can get company wise, and will probably go for a Boardman bike mainly because they are quite well specced for the price, however I also know the company can get Cinelli and Tifosi road bike. At the moment I am thinkg Mountain bike to get back into riding and then a road bike out of my own money then can go wider on brands. i cant find a flick of the actual face he rides down, but this is the smaller one next to it, the other is much steeper. I used to ride past it regularly on my road bike years ago never imagined riding down it, I wouldnt do that on a mountain bike hah

only halfway through when I saw the Suspension bridge did I realise this was my own town, can't believe he rode down the rockface on a road bike, and the guy backflipping one at the end is quite impressive.
