This is the same thing as subsidizing failed businesses, or any other poor investment someone might make. This behavior should never be encouraged. There's nothing beneficial about incentivizing poor decisions and allows people to borrow money for something that won't pay for itself. If your gender studies degree was too burdensome to pay for, or you went to college on some "I don't know what I want to do, I'll figure it out later" and never challenged yourself to go into a major that pays well then fuck you. Of course it's going to suck owing all that money. This "free" college has to be one of the dumbest ways to buy votes to date.
