I don't know how old you are or how long you've been skating, but I'm willing to bet that I'm alot older than you and have been skating alot longer. And the only people seriously skating pools for the past 20 years were washed up oldheads who grew up on that shit. Every now and then somebody would skate a pool just for the fuck of it (and you'd even see photo's and footage), but not on any serious level. Not coming at you, but I'm just willing to bet that you're from this younger generation who just rediscovered skating pools. Which is cool. Skating is skating.

I had them back in the day and they were great skate shoes, but then I got them again when they reissued them (I wanna say around 04-ish) and they were seemed like they were bulked up and thicker and just not the same. Haven't fucked with them since.

They're kinda known for their soles being too thin and hurting your feet when you bail on stairs and shit. I always liked thin soles for skating in though. I like to feel my board.

One thing about Lakais though, def try them on first cause they tend to run small. I had to get mine a half size bigger than what I normally wear.
