  1. I should note that TED talks are pretty amazing. I just ran across this thread, and then checked out the new talks and found that talk. I have no idea what Cloverfield is.
  2. J.J. Abrams traces his love of the unseen mystery -- the heart of Alias, Lost, and the upcoming Cloverfield -- back to its own magical beginnings, which may or may not include an early obsession with magic, the love of a supportive grandfather, or his own unopened Mystery Box.
  3. hah they also call into the second show. They are funnier in this one for sure.
  4. So I was searching for chess videos on youtube, so I can be a decent player and I ran across this... It's a public access show in New York. Anyways, without getting into too much detail, Sal and Richard call in several times. And unfortunately I can't stop watching this terrible show because I want to hear what they say on these shows when it's not played on Stern.
  5. I have the same problem and have been battling it for some time now. I've finally figured out what's wrong with me and sounds like you as well. You're not really paying attention when those other things come up. You remember school shit because that you are attentive too. I noticed for myself if I want to casually remember something I'll barely give it a second though beyond "I want to remember that." That coupled with the fact I'm thinking of other things at the same time most of the time, leads to me not really paying attention, and forgetting it. Also memory works by association which you can exploit, or use.
  6. Backtrack 2 FTW?~?~? GuerrwillaWonka 12+ hours straight cleanin house, literally. I'm drinking some beer and going to bed... or am I?!?!
  7. Where? I'm interested, and would like to know more.
  8. cause he's a liar, yeah, he's a liar he'll tear your mind up, he'll burn your soul he'll turn you into him, he'll turn you into him cause he's a liar, a liar, a liar, a liar...
  9. I salute you. http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=eed_1184454385
  10. I just landed my first writing job. Yes sir! I will be paid, and paid well, covering stuff that I am really very interested in. Your boy is starting off strong out the gate! High fives for everybody.
  11. I don't want poster sized pictures. I'd rather have a million 8x11's then that. That's why I want high res scans so I can resize at will yadadamean?
  12. Here's high resolution Japanese art. http://visipix.dynalias.com/search/search.php?q=japan&u=&l=en Holler at Hokusai.
  13. Thanks for the suggestion, and retarding my emo development. I figure they bootleg everything on the internet. I'm going to see if I can find a super secret site people trade high res fine art. I will let you all in on it if I find it.
  14. Does anyone know where I can find high resolution images of art on the web? I'm looking for stuff by like Normal Rockwell, Avedon, whatever. I'd like to print some of my favorites out myself instead of pay 30 dollars for a poster, that way I can size them myself, save money etc. and adorn my disgustingly drab secret lair. I like to get work done in there, not get depressed. Any help is appreciated.
  15. I've met and talked with Mike Reiss at length before about a whole bunch of things. This included. Not only is he extremely nice, looks like he lives in Springfield, and ridiculously hilarious, but he'd tell you that you're wrong. Springfield is simply nowhere. They don't know how many times they've said it's a fictional place, but no one listens. That the name was derived from the sheer amount of Springfields in the United States, and that people like you creep out the people like him and the rest of the shows creators, for caring that much. He summed it up as a show about nothing, where they just shovel jokes into the hole that is the simpsons, and where they put musical spots in to kill the time they couldn't fill with decent content that week. He also said that after they had Stephen Hawkings on the show, he still shows up to the studio occasionally and just hangs out, even if he's not on the episode they are doing.
  16. Hey even if this thread continues on it's path to a complete waste of time for me, I at least feel good that old broken bff ties have been renewed.
  17. Who knows, maybe if catface wins best new rap artist with her upcoming album, "Chicago... 2 durty 2 B Souf, 2 bout it fo' grillz in muh mouf" she'll give you a shout out, first.
  18. I was actually thinking of also getting into the food and beverage industry. I was thinking of making and marketing a soda. A grape soda, with the picture of either Rick James or a pimp on the label, and if I can't decide a picture of Rick James as a pimp. I will call it... James' Grape.
  19. Nice. It's a well paying industry that's not that hard to break into. They wanna catch me writing dirty.
  20. Then you better start dropping the g at the end of "getting" immediately.
