if you use the noise reduction or clear image mode on long exposures it helps get rid of those.. its a characteristic of digital cameras and long exposures... i have the same camera and i have mine set up, and dont have that problem.. holler at me if you want... i think rage has that camera also maybe the 8700

joker if your camera has a "timer" you could always carefully set your camera on a tripod (or other makeshift flat surface) and use the timer setting... keep in mind your camera wont be attatched to the tripod or camera holder device.. that way your camera will be sitting still (without you touching it) when the shutter opens... the only thing is... youll only be able to shoot "landscape" styled shots.. unless you can get your camera to balance on the small topheavy side... and you prolly cant angle the tripod much or your camera will slide right off... its just a comment on an idea.. i never said it was a good one... the timer thing i use all the time for macro shots.. thats all i got really

rage-tronics i dont remember who responded after you asked how to do that... but they basically had the right idea... ive done a million sequences (spellcheck) before of sporting activities no one cares to see... but there are several ways to do it... that one of me was done pretty much the way (insert user name here) described... although my aquarium threw off a few of the exposures so some of it was a lil more trickey than described.. i like doing it by using the square select tool copy and pasting and then using the dropshadow and effects to kinda make it look like photo collage or something.. doing them with snowboard stuff would be so fun.. but yea.. holler at me on the aim if you want more info or something...

fuck that digital noise! i kid doooood if i had access to a darkroom i SO wouldnt use my digi cam... i missed photo so much i bought one... i shot 35mm black and white for a long ass time before i went digi... the one thing schools are good for... their darkrooms... i shoot manual and i "process" my photos in my "digital darkroom" when needed (sometimes even with the lights out)... PLEASE BELIEVE i would trade smelling like chemicles all the time again for saving to the internet anyday...

the reason teachers might not like that is because of mat (matt) ing... if your photo already has a black border on it... when you went to matt the photo it would look kinda weird... i agree sometimes prints have cool looks to them when you do full bleed or even that black framed look... but i came to appreciate the way photos looks matted.. its sleek and sexy... and boy do you guys make me miss 35mm
