New york is dope! I've lived in 40 something fucking cities and nyc is one of my faves. Silly B and downtown and all that have their drawbacks ... but as a raging alcoholic i fully condone both regions. I got 2 spots on bedford with 32oz styrofoam cups of beer at welfare prices and 3 more on ave A where the amount of liquor they dump into my tall glass could stop an elephant's heart. Plus this one spot where you get a free pizza with your beer. Believe I've inhaled those things like rikki lake. Living aint reallyt bad either, you just gotta do your homework. I pay $350 a month for my spacious room in a 3 bedroom, air conditioned apartment and live one block from 2 major trains that will take me anywhere. My parking spot = 2 blocks away and its almost always open. Granted the crime rate is high but my bear mace keeps me cozy. The worst shit about new york is the immortal snow. I will jump ship and flee to the south at the drop of a hat in the winter. That slushy disease ridden vomitous afterbirth toxic sewer shit piling up on street corners leaves me in a realllll bad way. It gets in my socks and I will stab people in february.

If this shit materialized i'd frequent the site for sure. I dont check this part of 12oz much but this dude mero deconstructing emo creampuffs on myspace is fuckin hilarious. I'll check that shit specifically from time to time. If you generate a good buzz and have people talking the advertising money may start to flow. Either way this concept potentially provides me with yet another "entertainment solution" in the global market. Dont sleep...

You should hit up the transit museum in downtown brooklyn, that place is kinda ill. Coney islands in season. Theres a wall with dope cycle shit on bedford in williamsburg ... and jerome ave in the bx has some hot pieces scattered under the 4 line. You can ride the J from manhattan into bk and see mad shit out the window you might wanna stop and catch pictures of. Lotta old shit thats still running. Theres real flavor spone and noah shit at flushing ave and wyckoff in bushwick. And this banging taco stand with a domestic rooster and an outstanding nativity scene around the corner.

Aint nothin wrong with a little badass romantic self loathing witticism, nor is there anything wrong with gag and gifts shops or novelty t-shirts. LSD and ritalin's kinda harsh though.

Daytona bars and clubs basically suck unless you're: A) some florida mall dwelling import truck g unit wigger type B) a dirty middle-aged white trash biker or c) 21, named joey, and from wisconsin on spring break looking for "the time of your life" Orlando's ok, theres maybe 4 cool bars/hangouts, all in or around the downtown area: "BBQ Bar" on orange ave "Wills Pub" on mills ave "The Hideaway" on virginia "Sportstown" on robinson for pool There arent many writers in orlando ... but one can take advantage of the lack of local graffiti awareness and get reckless on streets and highways. Tampa's wild. Ybor city's kinda like bourbon street new orleans. About an hour and 15 minutes west of orlando on 1-4.

Graf really isnt for everybody. The best type of gauntlet to put yourself through to know if you're down is raw experience. Start painting. Do some spots. Rock some pieces. See how it fits. If you start waking up fiending for more then it might be your thing. But if you stay in the game long enough the downsides will inevitably surface -- getting arrested, paying fines, paranoia, family feuds, bullshit fights, serious injuries, lawyer balances, etc. And all that shit sucks. No one in their right mind likes any of it. Not that all the negative shit happens to everybody, but its a huge possibility. If you love it enough you'll stay in it regardless of the downsides and become smarter about your approach; if not you'll quit and look at it like a phase or a mistake or something. Time will tell that kinda thing. Just be smart if you're gonna go out and paint. Dont overdo train yards or chill spots. Dont start beef. Dont enrage any cops. Pissing the wrong people off will probably make your graffiti stay a short one.
