just priced insurance. between $75-$250 a year. that's almost comical. anyone got advice on policies? craiglist add tonight for an 83 shadow (the same one i almost tried to buy a couple months ago). guy is willing to trade it for tattoos. i dont particularly like shadows, but i'll do it just to get a free bike to fuck with.

oh, i know all this dude... its all just dumb shit... she has never once tried to stop me from driving us home from the bar, even when i told her i absolutely should not be driving. but all of a sudden riding a motorcycle in the middle of the day around the block is tantamount to diving head first into a volcano. shit is gay. she needs to get over it or get gone, this nigga got riding to do. first day of MSF was today. boring as shit. tomorrow its riding, small circles in a parking lot, under 20mph, from 8am, tll 5pm. 102 degree forcast. this is going to SUCK.

ive been telling her for weeks i wanted one. emailing her pics of them that id been looking at. she always just said 'im not telling you you cant have one, you can do whatever you want'. she said it in that shitty way that i knew wasnt really the truth, but still... i tried to have 3 different conversations about it this week, she never really said shit. its whatever. arguing is gay.

thats what i said. im taking the MSF class. i promised that i wouldnt ride long distances, or on the highway. that id only ride during the day.. basically, i want a fucking bike to ride out to the beach or go get lunch with my boy who rides. she's gonna throw everything away to stop me from doing that.

besides, this is my girlfriend, not my wife. i cant be the dude who says 'sorry guys, i cant get a bike, my girlfriend wont let me.'

its a bullshit 'compromise'. a moped is no safer than a motorcycle, unles i plan to drive 80 miles an hour and act like a jackass, which i do not. mopeds are gay.

shes got reason...she's been through some serious, serious shit as a result of bike accidents, but dude.... her comprimise was for me to ride a moped for a couple months, then maybe to grduate to a bike. seriously?! a moped. naw, brah.

so tonight the girl told me it's her or the motorcycle. then she left the house and told me to have my shit packed and gone by the time she gets back. awesome.

clue, not yet. been having some serious resitance from the girl. think im about past it though. also, my MSF class isnt till this coming weekend. i dont wanna buy a bike i cant ride off the lot. pretty sure im going with an 04 vulcan. 4400 miles, $3500, perfect condition.

sportsters are frequently chopped up and rebuilt into non sportster looking shit. dont hate.

yeah, ive checked out a couple of em. i was surpried how good they felt NH. a little taller than the shadow, which was nice cause i didnt feel like i was about to take a shit when i sat on it. also, it seemed a lot thinner and less bulky, which for whatever reason felt nice. how bad is the vibration on the older sportsters? ive been reading a ton about how much better it got when they switched to rubber mounts, which makes me worry about how bad it was before.

oh snap. congrats! was there a thread about it? if there wasnt a thread, it didnt happen. went and checked out another shop today. they had an 07 shadow, 300 miles on it for $4995. insanely cheap. those things just seem so fucking bulky though. pipes and trans and shit just stick so far out on the sides. every time i look at it, i just imagine my leg against that pipe NH and i cringe. picked up a pair of gloves for the MSF class. nothing special, but they're pretty thick leather with some gel shit in the palm. ive also decided to buy leather jeans even if i dont end up getting a bike. how can i possible go wrong with leather jeans?

those leather jeans are rad. $420 is kinda pricey, but whatever. since there made for japanese riders theres probably no chance in hell theyre gonna fit me.
