Yellow Feets
Ewww. This shit sucks. ;) Nah but, post up that Jacket that you did. I think that's the best thing I saw from you. Okay, on with the constructive critism... I think the sketches would look nicer if you used the same color you used in your outlines in your 3Ds as well... ^Not sure if that made any sense. If not, I'll explain more about it later. Also, take notice of the first two sketches that you posted. http://www.spaceflowers.com/paidbw.jpg'> http://www.spaceflowers.com/green.jpg'> The lines/designs in the letters make the whole piece look ugly. It would've looked better if you just left it alone. Another thing I would like to say is your choice of color. Everything is like bright/vivid. It's too much for me I guess. Oh, and some of the sketches looked like they were colored in photoshop. Well, it all comes down to (1) Use the same color you used for your outlines in your 3Ds and (2) be careful with your choice of colors. Both are personal opinions and both really don't matter. Heh. Other than that, keep the sketches coming. Good stuff sir. talkstoomuch, peace

PAID:one
Thanks for the input Yellowfeets.http://www.12ozprophet.com/ubb/icons/icon26.gif'> Most of the stuff I'll be posting in this thread are just off the cuff sketches. Instant gratification style, so some will be rougher than others, some will be photoshop colors and some will be poop. As far as colors? I swear if I had the loot.....I'd peice with those exact same colors. Shit is grey where I'm at so I like vibrant colors. And I'm not sure if there's anything really wrong with 3D built off a forcefield. But it's whatever.:) .....more later.

rinse
you got a good sense of color. i am feelin' the first one you posted and the ryke battle piece. your over all piece formation looks real nice... but after the first glance, about the time you typically disect the individual letter structure i noticed your p's aren't as strong as the rest of your letters. its no big deal though, its looking pretty good on a whole. i bet if you spent a few days strictly working on the letter p as a stand alone, you could hammer all that out. Joker
Originally posted by rinse ...i noticed your p's aren't as strong as the rest of your letters. I would have to disagree, but this all boils down to one persons opinion against another. Yes, there is one piece posted where the P is a little less strong than the rest of the piece, but overall his pieces are on point. I'd say your colors are great. For the most part they blend well together and really pop. I think the only constructive criticism I can give is to think of toning down the fill in colors so they are more subtle. Not in every piece you do because sometimes I think it's necessary. Though, for example, the second piece you posted... I think the blue lines in the fill are too much. Not the lines themselves but the choice of color. Maybe something a little less dark or maybe something tonal. Just a thought. Honestly, keep doing what you're doing the way you're doing it. And I'll keep referring Toys here to be schooled.
